I have a 250 lb baby.
My post about him is on page 2(currently)(Look what we got from the 4h fair)

4 month old Paint Stallion. (Would post a picture but my computer doesn't recognize my cd-rom nor my camera.
But if I put in the Reboot cd rom when I turn it on, it works. So windows doesn't allow the cdrom to be used.)

Own 3, a QH pony mare, an Appy mare, and my newest addition, a QH/Morgan gelding. Do intro level dressage and ride trails. General plan is to do eventing, but right now I'm focused 100% on the dressage part of it. :) How about you? Discipline?

Bill...the Paint a tobiano or overo? Are you planning to keep him as a stud or geld him?

awww!! Horses!! :D YES!! Im a horse fanatic! I love them creatures! :D I don't own any, but I would if I could. I even mucked out stalls when I was still in high school, so I could get some extra cash and be near the horses. It was the best smelling, but I had the time of my life!! :D

I love horses. I don't have any right now though. I used to show English, western, and rodeo. I miss my horses so much. :( Hopefully I will be able to get one soon. I used to work with horses so that kept me happy while I was doing that, but now that I'm a SAHM I don't have any horse access any more.

I am here I love horses. I have love horse since I was a a veryyoung child. I have several statue horses as well as a 3ft. wall clock. I also have several books and movies. my favorite breed is the Arab and my favorite type is the Paint.

Count me in too! I LOOOOVE them.

I have a 9 year-old Paint gelding with no markings! ;) Go figure! He comes from a wonderful racing bloodline, but was a "out crop" and didn't end up with any paint markings (unless he's wet and you can see his skin). My daughter events on him in 4H and Round Up Club.

Arabians are my all time favorite, and to make the perfect horse I'd have to have a PALOMINO ARABIAN!

Most often, the horse lovers are the much younger people, I'm so glad to see "older" people posting here too!! LOL :)

I don't think he has any tabiano in him.

He will be gelded as soon as they find their way home.( if you kknow what I mean.)

He is a handful, just got his first hoof trimming Sunday.
What a job. I got stepped on 3 times(glad he only ways
about 300lbs)
We had him so we could pick up his hooves for cleaning, but the trimming was a whole nother thing.
He hates new things anyway.
New comb had to be thoroughly inspected yesterday.
We walked outside the barn and he called for the other horses and no one came.(all were in the barn) He kept calling and the more he did the more nervous he got.
He didn't like being the only horse outside.

We have a long way to go, but he is learning. We actually kept the beach towel on his back for his brushing, so that only tool 10 days to get him use to it enough to leave it on his back.

I'm so glad to see "older" people posting here too!! LOL

wait a minute,Who are you calling old?;)

My parents have horses. Years ago I used to ride. I thought it was really fun and exciting, but I'm not sure if I'll ever get on one again, they make me so nervous now. My mom and daughter (who was a baby at the time) were riding on my mom's horse, Flash, when he suddenly fell. It was pretty scary. We haven't ridden since. Anyway, I still love horses, and so does my daughter, we just don't get on them anymore. My mom keeps two at her place, but I don't know what kind they are.

We have 3 horses : Twister, Midnight, and Sundrop. They're all Tennessee Walking horses.

My daughter worked at a horse farm and was given an aged Park Horse, he was Arabian with a bone-jarring trot,so I'm with you, gaited horses are the only way to go! Why suffer a trot, when you can "Glide"?

Between my SO and I we have several horses. My pride and joy is RWS Legendary Grace (Gracie). I'm a huge QH fan and have been training horses since I was 10. I just started offering riding lessons and training in my area and I really enjoy getting to meet all the horses and people! I ride and show in the western discipline and love rodeo. To the poster that was surprised at the "no color" paint, it's actually quite common. They are called breeding stock paints and the chances of having one are there unless you have a homozygous stud. It all depends on the bloodlines. Wanna see some great horses? www.raymondsutton.com I used to work for these people and they are still my dear friends. I'm a believer in their bloodlines. God bless!!!
