  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Next week I go to the doc and I'm pretty sure I'll be dealing with Low-T (low drive in life, low sex drive, lethargic). I've been reading that this is not an uncommon problem and that estrogen suppliments (along with some T.) can be beneficial too for women.

Has anyone out there dealt with medical help for hormones? And if you did was there improvenent in how you did socially, dating etc?

Well not me, but my daughter in law did and she was greatly helped. Last week I also found out my dog (lol) has Hypothyroidism which means his body cannot produce hormones that he needs, so he has a terrible skin condition because of it and he's been gaining weight and very sleepy and mentally dull lately. BUT since we got him diagosed, now he has to take medicine every day for the rest of his life twice a day and already in less than a week he is much much better. So...having your hormones balanced definitely will help you.

That dog sounds just like me! My 'mones are low and I'm to see the p.a. to discuss shots. I was "low-normal" the lab work said. Unlike the dog, I've lost weight but battle facial skin problems all the time.

I hope I get a milk bone with those shots...

I think the weight thing can work both ways, LOL at the milk bone but I do think balancing hormones is essential and helpful.
