  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Sudan. The largest country, by area, in Africa, has also been the home to one of history's greatest persecutions. For more than 10 years, Christians in Southern Sudan, have been hunted down, driven out of their homes, tortured, enslaved, and murdered by the extremist regime in Northern Sudan. Over 3 million people have been chased from their homes, into unforgiving desert or malaria-ridden swamps.

Over 2 million Christians and people of tribal religions have been murdered, by bands of government-sponsored raiders who are allowed to "keep what they find." This means that women and children are taken and sold as slaves, or worse. Men are tortured, burnt, and even actually crucified if they will not recant their belief in Jesus Christ. Most will never, and so they are killed. The atrocities of the past decade are too numerous and gruesome to describe here, however, it seems they are nothing compared to recent killings in Western Sudan. I'll try to write more on that later.

Not everyone has ignored fellow Christians dying in the Sudan. Please find out how you can help by contacting the following ministries (just check the internet for their websites): Voice of the Martyrs and Samaritan's Purse actually has a hospital in Lui, in Southeastern Sudan. Samaritan's Purse is run by Franklin Graham, son of mega-evangelist, Billy Graham. Please pray for these ministries, and the Christians being persecuted for their Christian faith in Sudan. Thank you. Please post if you have any questions.

Thank you so much for sharing these. Few people know that Franklin Graham is not only an evangelist like his famous father, but he also has risked his own life to bring aid to victims of persecution - especially by Moslems against believers. He has also provided aid to victims of African tribal genocide that took a million lives in Birundi. Please pray for these ministries.

God blesses those who liberate captives and defend the oppressed. That is Old Testament but the principle applies to the Christians as well.

Would you please post internet links to these organizations? That will make it easier for others to locate them.
