  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Tell me, who here never sins? Tell me, who among you is perfect after accepting Christ? Do you do every single perfect deed? Do you not even for a moment contemplate anything that could be a sin? Do you never yell? Are you never mean? Do you never lie?

Tell me, who among you is perfect. Who among you is equal to Christ? Who is as righteous as Him? Why would you even need Him if you were?

By your own logic, if you can lose salvation, then you, I, everyone has already - that is the same fate as the old law and first covenant, so nothing has been changed by Christ's coming under this view you speak of. We have all lost our salvation, because we have all sinned, even after coming to know Christ. We've all been mean, we've all wrong others and deserve judgment for our crimes, we've all wronged God and not done absolutely every act perfectly. Same goes for Abraham, Moses, David.

Just look at King David who had a man killed so he could commit adultery with the person's wife!

And since Christ came to die once and only once for our sins, and cannot die again for them, then in this view being preached here we are all screwed as

Hebrews 6:4-6 (NIV) 4It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, 6if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because[b]to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.

Unless it is impossible to lose salvation once saved, we are all doomed and condemned. Especially King David.

So, do you see an issue with this idea that works, good or bad, are greater than the power of Christ, greater than the almighty God, and that salvation can be lost? If it can be, /it can never be regained/, so David, me, you, we are all going to hell. If what you say is true, then there is no new covenant, there is no hope, for we will all sin till our dying day.

Thank goodness that scripture after scripture after scripture says we cannot lose our salvation, that it is through faith not by works we are saved (so not by works can we lose salvation if we did not gain it through works in the first place, but only Grace - and Grace itself means something that is given that is not deserved).
Ephesians 2:4-10 (NIV) 4But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

It cannot be a gift of God's if we can earn it or keep it by anything we do.

Hebrews 10:14-18 (NIV) 14because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. 15The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:
16"This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds."[b] 17Then he adds:
"Their sins and lawless acts
I will remember no more."[c] 18And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.

By one sacrifice he made perfect forever those are are being made holy. That is, those who are not yet holy, but in the act of being sanctified, are already made perfect forever, their sins, past, present, and future are already gone for good. That's why it's a new covenant, new law of the Spirit of life. It's why the old law was put to death on the Cross with all its rules and regulations.

Remember how we are saved:

John 3:16 (NIV) 16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
and 1 John 5:5 (NIV) Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
and John 11:25-26 (NIV) 25Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; 26and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
and Romans 10:8-10 (NIV) 9That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
and Acts 16:30-31 (NIV) 30He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" 31They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household."
and Joel 2:32 (NIV) 32And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved...
and finally John 14:6 (NIV) Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

and Galatians 2:20-21 (NIV) 20I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!

and Eph 2:14 - 15 (NIV) 14For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations.

and Col 2:13 - 17 (NIV) 13When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.

It says written code with its regulations, not prophesy, sorry Tanzel, but you're making stuff up that isn't in scripture. The words are clear and plain.

So that in the end we see Romans 3:22-24, 28 (NIV) 22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 28For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.

We are justified apart from the law, nothing we do justifies us or unjustifies us except if we have faith in Christ or not - if we receive Him or not once we have been given the knowledge. That's the only work we can do - live by faith in trust and hope that God will save us, not by our own works.

So Philippians 3:8-9 (NIV) 8What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.
and Romans 4:1-8 (NIV): 1What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, discovered in this matter? 2If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about—but not before God. 3What does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness." 4Now when a man works, his wages are not credited to him as a gift, but as an obligation. 5However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness. 6David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
7"Blessed are they
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
8Blessed is the man
whose sin the Lord will never count against him."

See, God justifies the wicked who trust in Him, even if they do not work. Because it's by Grace we are saved. In having faith in the first place we are doing the only "work" that counts, the only "good work", that is Romans 3:31 31Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

By simply having faith, the law is upheld due to Christ in us, Christ through us. All our good deeds are done by Christ through us, if we have faith, that is why "faith without works is dead", because if you have faith you will have works - Christ will work through you if you want Him to or not, as God has already planned all the good works for us to do, and we participate in those only by having faith in Him, not by our own efforts. That's why:

Isaiah 64:6 (NIV) All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.
and Matthew 7:21-23 (NIV) 21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

The Father's will is to have faith in Christ, believe and be saved. If you try to gain your salvation through works, instead of by faith apart from works, even doing your works in Jesus's name, He will not count you as one of His. So, works cannot save, nor can they keep salvation. That's why Galatians 5:6 (NIV) For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

Thus, God tells us finally Romans 4:13-14 (NIV) 13It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. 14For if those who live by law are heirs, faith has no value and the promise is worthless, 15because law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.

and 2 Corinthians 3:6 (NIV) 6He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

How can any of you hold the view we must live by the law to keep salvation in light of these verses? How? You contradict all these verses and /so many more/ by saying so. You contradict Christ Himself, you contradict the fact God is all powerful by saying works are greater than His blood, positive and negative. You contradict that this is a new covenant, a new law of the Spirit by faith. You nullify faith, you make it mean nothing. You say we must crucify Christ again and again, because if we lose our salvation through sin, and we will all sin, then indeed we must do so. All these things the scriptures blatantly and obviously say are not so!

I dare any of you to try to hold this view that we can lose our salvation, in light of all these verses, and this entire chapter of the bible:

Galatians 3 NIV 1You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard? 3Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort? 4Have you suffered so much for nothing—if it really was for nothing? 5Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard? 6Consider Abraham: "He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."[a] 7Understand, then, that those who believe are children of Abraham. 8The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: "All nations will be blessed through you."[b] 9So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
10All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law."[c] 11Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith."[d] 12The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them."[e] 13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."[f] 14He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
15Brothers, let me take an example from everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or add to a human covenant that has been duly established, so it is in this case. 16The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed,"[g] meaning one person, who is Christ. 17What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise. 18For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on a promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise.
19What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was put into effect through angels by a mediator. 20A mediator, however, does not represent just one party; but God is one.
21Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. 22But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
23Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. 24So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ[h] that we might be justified by faith. 25Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law.

See how I speak to you with scripture, not of myself? There aren't my ideas, but God's! How can you deny these scriptures and say you are teaching truth?

And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. 19:6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, 19:7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly

Genesis 19:6-9 inform us that Lot tried to plead with them concerning the law, and that this was wicked.

It is disturbing that Christians still use this story against homosexuality. Let me break it down for you:

Homosexuality: sexual desire within the same sex.

Heterosexuality: The state of being emotionally or sexually attracted to persons of the opposite sex

Rape:is the non-consensual penetration orally, anally, or vaginally by genitalia, foreign objects, or other body parts.

It is clear, from the context of this scripture, that they wanted to commit homosexual rape. The sin is rape. Why do Christians hold onto this scripture as relating to homosexuality? If a straight man rapes a women, would we don't accuse him of heterosexuality. We call it rape. Straight men and gay men rape. Of course, if Christians were to interpret the story of Sodom and Gomorrah properly and say replace the confused words of homosexual and sodimite with "rape", they would have one less scripture in their already limited scriptural arsenal.

Homosexuality, the practice of two members of the same sex having intercourse with one another, is an abomination in the eyes of the Lord, and while what the men were wanting to do in Sodom was indeed evil, it does not change the fact that homosexuality is unnatural and is an abomination in the eyes of the Lord.

Right, those who are classified as such aren't in Christ, but those in Christ are no longer seen as the sinners they once were, are they? So what happens if someone becomes backslidden once under the mantle of Christ? Will all of a sudden His actions on the Cross be nullified? Of course not! Paul even talks about those who have lived such lives:

1 Corinthians 3:10-15 NIV

10By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds. 11For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work. 14If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. 15If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.

The works of a Christian who lives a life of sin will be tested by fire and burnt up as Paul tells us right here. The person sins, the works are destroyed, but the person themselves is spared that, because they are SAVED. Sin has NO power over Christ. Christ has conquered it. Those in Christ are spared it even if they do horrible things, but they shouldn't be doing them at any stretch of the imagination, but quite frankly what you're purporting here of the idea that salvation can be lost and Christ's work undone is nothing short of lunacy.

Matthew 7 contains the answers to those who say one thing and live another... (bad fruit, and all that, and being doers and not mere hearers.) There are such things as FALSE CONVERTS!!

“Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. 16 You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?17 A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit.19 So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20 Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.
True Disciples

21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’Building on a Solid Foundation

24 “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. 26 But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. 27 When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”

We must guard ourselves against corruption and dilution.

Look I hear you cry, ok, but you got to understand, the old testament to understand
the new testament, lets look at something hear....To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isaiah 8:20)

Now you doing all that crying and you don't whats going on, you threw the law
out the window, so a great deal of your understanding is where you put the law, out
the window. You got to understand, what Law is it, that we are not under. Everybody kept the Law, the prophets, Jesus, the apostles, paul. David kept the law and of cousre we not perfect, so we going to make mistake and David had to pay for what he did, and thats when you go to the priest, to forgive you for making a mistake or your sin, Jesus, is now the High Priest, so you bring your sin to Jesus, not the levites,(thats part of the law that was nail to the cross) but you don't keep the law, so, you don't have a chance to come up in the first resurrection cause the people who keep the law are call saints. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. (Revelaton 14:12)
But its always the second resurrection

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. (Revelation 22:14)

The different between a saint and sinner is the Law. Jesus gave us an example on what he expects of those who keep the law; and this whats going between
you and me, (division) and if you was keeping the Law, this is the way things would be in your personal life.

Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. (Luke 12:51-53)
This is what the word of God do, when you eating right (dietary law), keeping the Law, statues, Judgements, The Lord Holy Days which paul kept, Sabbath Day (Seventh Day) It means you become sanctified. All this Paul kept and he got his crown coming, and you think it nail to the cross, dude, It would be no need for a Bible, if the Law (Ten Commandments) was nail to the cross. Why do you even go to church, it part of the ten commandments, if we just think for second, then on top of that, the day is change, come on, dude, think. So we can't keep God Commandments, but if, "Man", say, I'll put you in jail if you kill, or if you steal, then, we obey, but, these are Jesus commandments in the first place. Those verse you put up there, does not prove your believe, your believe is not in the Bible, it just not there. When you open your Bible you go to toward the back, and you engore all the verses that talks about the commandments, like this one....

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law
(James 2:10,11) Sound like the ten commandment to me, but you got to turn it around, causse you don't understand. Lets do another...

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. (John 3:4)

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (John 2:3,4)

Now, even if you read something in the Bible that sounds like it meant, something else, then Peter gave us warning.....

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (2Peter 1:19-21)

But these verses means nothing, because, you think the law is nail to the cross.

Now, all of us should no, that jesus is greater then Paul, right, so lets see what
Jesus said....Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me? (John 7:19)

For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 5:47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? (John 5:46,47)

Same thing going on today.

Lets go to Romans 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

I think I gave you enough verses to try and turn around
I appreciate you coming to the Homosexual thread, about the Law.
It show me you care. Try an understand which law was nail to the cross, and do
research and pray for some understanding.

peace in Jesus name

Greetings once again to the word of God. How many of you readers think that God will accept homosexuals in the kingdom of God? Once you read through this article, you will surely pick a side to be on. Wither it be God's side or man's side, nothing will change the judgment the Lord have against sodomites, lesbians, bisexual's ( down-low brothers or sisters), or homosexuals.

The Lord wanted to see for himself this great sin the city of Sodom committed. Abraham was with the Lord and Abraham ask the Lord, will you destroy the righteous with the wicked. In Genesis 18:26 the Lord told him, if I find 50 righteous I will spare the place for their sakes. The Lord did not find 50, 45, 40, 30, neither did the Lord find 10 righteous people. Therefore, the Lord sent two angel's to destroy Sodom. Genesis 19:5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. 19:6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, 19:7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly

Genesis 19:6-9 inform us that Lot tried to plead with them concerning the law, and that this was wicked. The men of Sodom confronted Lot to tell him, who are you, a judge. They were going to deal with Lot worse than with the men in the house, The angels of the Lord pulled Lot into the house and blinded the men of Sodom at the door. In Genesis 19:12-13, the angel told Lot to get his family together and leave this place because “the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.”
In 1 Kings 14:21-22 Rehoboam allowed Judah to do the things evil in the eyes of God; and there were sodomites in the land. A few years after Rehoboam another king rose up named Asa. 1 Kings 15:11 says Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord. Asa took away the sodomites out the land and so did his son Jehoshaphat, who reign in his fathers stead. Generations passed and the people had strayed away from God. The book of the law was lost and the people continues to sin. In 2 Kings chapter 22, a king came up named Josiah who reigned 31 years in Jerusalem. During this time of Josiah's rule, carpenter, builders and mason workers was repairing the house of the Lord. Hilkiah the priest was with the workers and he found the book of the Law. Hilkiah gave the book to Shapan the scribe to read it to the king.

After reading the book of the law Josiah gathered together elders, priest, prophets, and all the people small and great to read the book of the law to them. In 2 kings 23:3 Josiah made a covenant before the Lord and a agreement with the people to perform the words of this covenant in the book, and the people kept the covenant. During this time of obedience, Josiah killed the idolatrous priest and torn down their high places, stopped the children of Hinnom from sacrificing their kids to false gods,

and broke down the houses of the sodomites. Josiah did these things because in the book he read Leviticus 18: 22 and Leviticus 20:13, as well as Deuteronomy 22:5; 23: 17.

The world say Jesus done a new things and that we are under grace and not the law! But look at what the bible say...Romans 6:1 “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid.” Romans 7:7 “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid.” Read the WHOLE chapter one of Romans and see this NEW THING concerning homosexuals and bisexual's, and tell me is this something new.Romans ch7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. You know what else is good the judgment that is set forth for those you take pleasure in the vile acts of ungodliness. In 1 Corinthians 6: 9 effeminate correlates in the dictionary as being a man who is feminine; and will not inherit the kingdom of God.

In Judges chapter 19, a Levite, his concubine and his servant traveled and lodged in the land of Benjamin. An old man took them into his home to cater to them that day. It is writing that Sodomites surrounded the house to get to know this man; the same as they desired in the city of Sodom. The old man told them “not to do this folly.” I'll bring my daughter and the Levite concubine out ...but to this man do not so a vile thing. As you read the rest of Judges chapter 19, 20, 21 you see that thousand's and thousand's of Benjamites were killed because they condoned homosexuality.James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Matter of fact the bible says, do good to all men. Our point is, don't give in to any manner of ungodliness, thinking it is okay.

Do you remember on the news this year of 2008 when the supreme court rule 4 to 3 in favor of same sex marriage in California? What did the homosexually say that was on the news...he said “today California tomorrow America.” We know that homosexuality is all across America, but look at the example the God is showing us with California. Those examples are earthquakes and huge wild fires which was stated on the news, to be uncontained and burning for weeks at a time. We read in 2 Peter 2:6 that the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha is an example to those that should live ungodly. Look what the bible says about preserving yourself blameless until he comes (1 Thess. 5:23). Are we blameless? Do we sin inadvertently or do we sin willfully. Which one will get you punished by God (2 Peter 2:9).

Let us continue to remember the consequences of sin. But for this case and point we leave you with a very important message from the prophet Jude.

Jude 1:5 “I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not...7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Smoke in the city.
Peace in jesus name

You better hope he lets gays into heaven, because otherwise you dont have a snowball's chance in hell of getting in.

THOSE NOT IN CHRIST ARE SUBJECT TO JUDGMENT AND THE LAKE OF FIRE.

THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST CANNOT LOSE THEIR SALVATION, EVEN IF THEY SIN. IT IS BY NO STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION PROPER FOR THEM TO DO SO, BUT THEY WILL NOT BE JUDGED BECAUSE THERE IS NO CONDEMNATION IN CHRIST. STOP SAYING I'M PROCLAIMING SOME FALSE DOCTRINE WHEN IT'S THE HEART OF THE NEW COVENANT! WE AREN'T UNDER THE LAW ANYMORE! WE ARE UNDER GRACE! WE ARE NO LONGER BOUND TO THAT WHICH LEADS TO DEATH!

And FloatingAxe, yes there are false converts, and I hope in their charade they come to understand the reality of Christ and truly repent, but that doesn't mean Christians can't become backslidden. Maybe a tragedy happens, maybe they're in a situation they don't know how to deal with and don't take it too well, who knows why? But Christians can fall from good practices into a routine of sin, and they need help, but that's not to say it can't happen! And if it does, they do not lose their salvation regardless of what has gone on! Nothing will take them from God's hand. PERIOD.

If I am wrong and I live by my beliefs, I see heaven. If I am wrong and I live by your beliefs I am doomed.

By my beliefs, according to the Word, I stay hidden with Christ in God. I will be a doer, and not a mere hearer...an obedient one, who produces fruit from the branch. Sure believers have trials and tribulations--but they don't abandon Jesus, and they don't NOT repent.

According to your version, anyone can simply make a mental assent, and live like hell, produce no fruit and expect the reward of heaven.

The proof is in the fruit. No fruit, no salvation. No repentance, no forgiveness, and no relationship.

Jesus will say, "Get away from Me--I never knew you!"

I don't want to hear those words. I want to hear, "well done good and faithful servant! Enter into the rest of your Lord!"

Tell me this. What is it that saves a man? Is it the works he does? It is the fruit he produces by the Spirit? Or is it the belief he held in Christ that saved his life? Was it his belief in God that lead to his salvation? Or was it the works he did? Which is it? Does belief beget salvation, or do works beget salvation? Isaiah tells us our works are like dirty rags, Paul tells us we're saved from what we heard. What I'm saying is the same thing I've been telling you this ENTIRE TIME. We are saved by the Grace of God and by that Grace alone. That ALONE is what grants us salvation. Not the word of the law, not works we do, not one of those things is what saves us. And even if you don't believe me when I say that, then at the very least believe the scripture when I present it to you!!

FloatingAxe, it is telling you, RIGHT THERE, in scripture, God's Holy Word, from the Apostle Paul, to all people, that a man can find a foundation in Christ, that is in His salvation, and build a life of bad works that will be consumed by fire and the man will still survive to see the Kingdom of Heaven. THAT IS THE POWER OF THE CROSS AT WORK. It is not a good thing to live like that and I never ONCE said it was! Do not put such words in my mouth when I have not made that claim! Paul is telling us here, God is telling us here THROUGh Paul, a man can be in Christ and his works can be like straw, something that will not stand, but he himself will still live. The promises of a faithful life will not be his, but at the very, VERY least, that man will be saved! So yes, I am saying to you, a person can accept Christ, and live a life like Hell, but they will not reap the benefit that a person who was faithful would! There is still loss to be had, and they will see it on that day, but praise the Lord for His mercy, because at the very least of things, that soul will be saved from the lake of fire!

Why do so many of you not understand this? What am I doing that is so foreign and alien to you? I am doing nothing other than repeating what is in scripture for the most part! I'm not pulling these ideas out of a hat, I'm not going to some fortune teller for these things, I read the scriptures, I study them, I seek guidance on them, I pray about it, this is God's own word which is my source on these things! How can you say that people are still under the law when we are told multiple times that the written letter is nailed to the cross? How many times must I repeat myself when I say that one who is in Christ can never be taken out of it even if they don't show it? People who do such things need help. That much is true. That much is right. Yes, it calls into question the salvation of the person, but even then, it is still fully possible they are a born again Christian who backslid! Is it likely? I have no idea, but it CAN happen. And I have no doubt in my mind that it HAS happened! I'm not telling you all this as if it's some secret revelation for myself, you all have the same scriptures available to you, you all have the same God as myself! We all love Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Messiah to all people of God's green earth! So why then do you act like I'm speaking some horrible lie or that I'm some kind of mad man ranting about these things! This is scripture itself people!

False conversion is the thing that is revealed when there is no fruit. The mouth speaks but there's no life in him. He may speak of Christ, but no fruit reveals Jesus doesn't live there.

A true believer, with all his faults, has GODLY SORROW when he sins. That's a big difference.

You know and I know, a genuine conversion will have his reward. However, just because someone says he's a follower of Christ, he may not be. You can't just take their word for it--and I don't mean we are the "Salvation police' either, but as we walk through our lives in and out of people's lives, we have influence to bear. Let's be vigilant and faithful.

Sometimes, understanding what's in The Bible takes more than human interpretation because there are somethings that our minds can't fathom. That's why the last time this issue came up with someone I was having a discussion with, instead of giving my own answer, I sought God's answer in prayer and He told me this: When we willfully sin, we are just like Lucifer. Yes, he was an angel and had God's favor, but he grew prideful, greedy, and rebellious. He decided that God's Plan didn't work for him and he sought to overthrow Him.

Now, let's look at sin. It's three simple letters. S-I-N. What is sin? It is our: Self Indulging Nature. Things that we do that cater to our own pleasure instead of The Lord's are sin. For example, when people would rather stay home and watch tv, or play video games instead of going to church to learn about Him, that's sin. In fact, it's idolatry because you're basically worshipping the television instead of God.

Now, let's look at homosexuality. On the surface, I think some people defend it because they see two people trying to find love. Yet in God's Word, it, like all other sins, is an abomination because they go against the order in which He set up life. Everything has a design and a purpose toward the continuation of life. Plants breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen, humans do the reverse. All living things on this earth in some way, shape, or form gives birth to the next generation as well. Humans are the only species capable of having sex for pleasure and procreation. But God only endorses sex between married couples that are made of a man and a woman because the closest we can get to Him is through the creation of new life the way He designed it. I know they say that science has made things possible for gay couple to have children, but until sex cells change, they'll never be able to omit a man's sperm or a woman's egg from the equation. THEY STILL NEED MEN AND WOMEN TO HAVE CHILDREN!!! So then what's the point of a homosexual couple if they can't have children? Self Indulgent Nature! For the pleasure of sex and love to make them feel better about themselves when only God can truly fill that void!

That's not entirely fair though, as some people need genuine help. Some people lose alot of the flak they had when they come to Christ, others it's a lifetime of trials and tests. You may not be the one to see those fruits quite bluntly. You may not be the one who gets to see fruits of the spirit come to the surface. If someone claims they are in Christ, then treat them as such, if they reveal they are not, then help them to become one in Christ. How is that wrong? Besides, only God truly knows the hearts of people.

Luke 15:16 NIV

15He said to them, "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts. What is highly valued among men is detestable in God's sight.

Acts 15:7-9

7After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: "Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe. 8God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. 9He made no distinction between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith.

1 John 3:19-21 NIV

19This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence 20whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.
21Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God

And a little bit of extra scripture for anyone who thinks that Paul is out of line with Christ:

Galatians 1:11-12 NIV

11I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up. 12I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.

Floatingaxe: how can you ever, even /dare/ presume you know what's in someone's heart? You cannot watch them 24/7. You cannot see the fruit they bear in the end; nor can you even be sure you interpret their actions correctly, for you cannot know their motives, even if they tell you. Heck, a person can do a nice thing and it can be utterly bad of them, and a person can do something that you personally think is bad, but it was actually good - because your knowledge and mine is incomplete at best. That is between them and God alone. Anyone saying they can know if someone is saved is spouting such utter arrogance that it flabbergasts me.

Yes, there are people who use the name of Christ to gain status and favor in the eyes of people. Jesus talks about such people and how they will be judged the same as any who reject Christ. Any who try to live on their own power instead of believing and trusting in Christ fall into the same.

But, you /cannot know/ what is in someone's heart; and it is NOT YOUR PLACE to tell someone if they are saved or not - only what the scripture says is needed to be saved (and I posted half a dozen of those scriptures, and there's many more saying the exact same thing). Bashing a person who is in trouble, who is being attacked by Sin, instead of helping/loving them as we are commanded to do, makes you an enemy and everything you stand for - it dishonors God absolutely. The message we spread is one of reconciliation, not condemnation; were not the scriptures clear on that?

Afterall Romans 14:1-8 (NIV)
1Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. 2One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. 4Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
5One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. 6He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. 8If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

Jason: Scripture isn't all that mysterious. It's written out plainly! I agree with all you said, except that one point. It's important to know that scripture is plain bloody english and accessible to all who believe God. There are some mysteries in it, like the nephilim, but those things are unimportant to our mission or lives. Anything that is important to our lives before God and our mission is spelled out clearly. I don't think scripture ever needs interpretation, only collation (that is, bringing verses together to gain a fuller understanding of all that's said and how it fits. It's a big Book)

Tanzel: Gees man, how can you keep saying that stuff when the scripture is utterly clear. Plain english, it decries what you say - it leaves no room for this crud. You preach the law and the old covenant, not Christ! You do NOT preach the gospel of Christ. Time and time again I've shown you. Can you get any more plain than Galatians 3? You are the one acting with no light, for you do not preach the gospel of Christ, or the law of the Spirit. Plain english. Try to disprove the scriptures themselves, it only makes you seem sillier and sillier I'm afraid :/.

The old law leads to Christ, it convicts, shows that we cannot do this on our own but that we must accept Christ and turn to Him. All who do not turn to Him are under that law - that is what the bible says /very plainly/. That's the law's only purpose. Galatians 3, again, makes it absolutely clear, let alone all the myriad of other verses I have been posting!

According to this logic, being married / having love without procreation is self indulgance. Thus, it is self-indulgent for a man and a women to be married and have an intimate relationship if they:

don't have children?

Otherwise:

what's the point

I have to disagree with your illogical conclusions. I think people should be able to find love and choose not to have children.

Love, love, love, love, love, dude, you drunk with all this love, you caught
up in emotion, you going to, mess around and get the Mark of the Beast.

Love, is respect, honor, and committment, anything else is emotion.
You never seen christ, you never gave him a hug, or hand shake, what
love, you keep taking about, theres no such thing is love in faith, the only
thing you can love is the commandments or the Law

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. (James 2:20-23)

You have to do something, theres no free ride, you have to work, and working in God eyes, is keeping the Law and endure chastening at the
sametime and keeping the law which is having faith.

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. (Hebrew 12:5-8)

Let take a look at some prophets who had real faith or Biblical faith, not that love of faith you talking about, but that love of God.

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: (Hebrews 11:5-9)

These brothers went threw some, tuff and hard times, and still continue in the law, working to please God, what are you going, talking about love and not the commandments, lets continue....

By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff. By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones. By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment. By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; (Hebrews 11:21-25)

Can you handle this type of faith, this is what Jesus is talking about, these verses are not written in the Bible for nothing, it giveing you an
example of what you have to do, the situations, that God put you in
is to test your faith, paul went threw it, everybody who keeps the Law goes threw it, that why it written.

Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. (Hebrews 12:11)

Start keeping the Law, and you'll find your self having some serious faith,
things, that would put your mind on Job situation, then you'll be in the ball game with the prophets and apostles and others that keep the Law. Keep
in mind Jesus is the God in the old testament, buddy.

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

peace in Jesus name

Love, love, love, love, love, dude, you drunk with all this love, you caught
up in emotion, you going to, mess around and get the Mark of the Beast.

Love, is respect, honor, and committment, anything else is emotion.
You never seen christ, you never gave him a hug, or hand shake, what
love, you keep taking about, theres no such thing is love in faith, the only
thing you can love is the commandments or the Law

Psalm 18:1-2 NIV
1 I love you, O LORD, my strength. 2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
He is my shield and the horn [a] of my salvation, my stronghold.

Psalm 31:23-24 NIV
23 Love the LORD, all his saints!
The LORD preserves the faithful,
but the proud he pays back in full.
24 Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the LORD.

Proverbs 145:20 NIV
20 The LORD watches over all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.

Matthew 22:37 NIV
37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'[a]

Luke 11:42 NIV
42"Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.

John 14:23-24 NIV
23Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

John 15:9-17 NIV

9"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. 11I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. 14You are my friends if you do what I command. 15I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 17This is my command: Love each other.

1 Corinthians 2:6-10 NIV
6We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him"[b]— 10but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.

1 Corinthians 13 NIV
1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing. 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 16:21-24 NIV
21I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand.
22If anyone does not love the Lord—a curse be on him. Come, O Lord[b]!
23The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.
24My love to all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen.[c]

Galatians 5:2-6 NIV
2Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. 4You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 5But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope. 6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

1 John 4:7-12 NIV
7Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son[b] into the world that we might live through him. 10This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for[c] our sins. 11Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

last part I said. Be real with it all, or just leave it a lone. You tring to
take cheap shots, in stead of understand my point. You got to keep
the Law, and you know that what I'm talking about. I see it two against
