While I've said this before, obviously it bears repeating. You cannot, for the sake of this argument, compare the actions of a homosexual (the sex act) to the actions of a serial killer.

This is why debates around here go up in flames. The point I was making obviously wasn't to compare murder to sodomy. The point is I was using a sort of syllogism to show that simple feelings should not be used as a means of determining justification.

SIDEBAR: Spare us the lectures on aids, anal sex, etc. Aids can be prevented with proper condom use, and not all homosexuals engage in anal sex (and some heterosexual couples do).

Since you bring it up: I won't spare you the lecture, because you need to hear it again.

Of course not all homosexuals engage in sodomy. Lesbians are an example. However, virtually all male homosexuals engage in sodomy, and it has been shown that there are roughly twice as many male homosexuals as female.

Also, HIV is not readily stopped by condoms.

Although encouragement to condom use is prudent in an epidemiological scale, truly safe sex with an HIV-positive partner using condoms is a dangerous illusion.

to use no science here, (most everything else iused beforehand were things ive learned) i know God and the bible, and i know what it says about homosexuality. its right about everything else, then why should i question it now? the bible says its unnatural, which means it wasnt meant to be.

I guess then that you follow all the rules then, is that correct?

Wrong. Just because when you think of two men being together, you somehow picture what might go on in the bedroom, doesn't mean it actually occurs this way in reality. I personally know lots of gay couples who don't (or say they don't) engage in anal sex. It's probably a little less commonplace than you may think.

Yeah.. I think we all have a problem grouping/stereotyping/generalising. I know *I* do... In fact, it's the nature of our brains to do that, it's really no one's fault. I'm guilty of the same, so don't feel bad.

Out of curiosity, do you have a parallel "syllogism" or argument for lesbianism?
