I'll start off with a definition, since to many, it is somehow unclear.
ho·mo·sex·u·al·i·ty Sexual orientation to persons of the same sex.
Is sexual orientation something that one can really choose? I don't remember waking up one day to choose that I am physically attracted to men. I never made the choice. I have no clue why I would make the choice either. I do know, however, that if I was given the choice, I would become straight at this moment.
That being said, the Bible does speak a little on homosexuality in the context of sex, actions, or lust. I'll bring up the verses.
Leviticus 18:22 - Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.
Leviticus 20:13 - If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
1 Corinthians 6:9 - Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders
Romans 1:27 - In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
If there are any more, please add them. You'll notice though, that none of these speak on same-sex attraction at all. Some of these may even refer to rituals practiced by other religions. I have seen good arguments for that too. So, the question I must bring up is, how can something that one has no choice in, and is not condemned in the Bible, be sinful?
