People who are against homosexuality are going to continue to be against homosexuality and are going to find every Scripture they can and every religious and secular source they can to support their views.

Gays and lesbians and people who are supportive of gays and lesbians are going to find every Scripture they can and every religious and secular source they can to support their views.

We will continue going round and round and round in a circle without any resolution whatsoever because a resolution on this subject is simply not possible.

There is no resolution to this subject, folks. We can continue to quote every source we can but no one is going to change anybody else's mind.

Is it likely that the uber-conservative crowd are going to change their minds? Probably not.

However, the MAJORITY of people are MODERATE, open-minded, compassionate and are simply victims of misinformation. (Some uber-conservatives are compassionate as well.)

In these threads, everyone gets to see for themselves how vitriolic anti-gay sentiments are at their core.

These moderates are the people that need to hear the progressive, glbt affirming message. These are the people that must be reached.

I dunno. I have mixed feelings about seeing so many homosexuality and abortion threads. On the one hand, discussion is good - it can stimulate thought, help a person refine their point, and help people understand others.

On the other hand, sometimes it does get amazingly repetitive. I see the same people say the same things over and over and over and over and over and over again, and sometimes I find myself wishing that people would maybe take one of these threads and use it to stop trying to outshout each other and instead try to find some common ground somewhere.

But, well... people like to argue for its own sake, whadder ya gonna do.

Heh... and I can tell we're going to have a "Mac vs. PC" argument pretty soon here... kind of like the Kirk vs. Picard debate... yet another couple of arguments that never reach any resolution! <lol>

Which is a shame, because Macs are just so obviously superior in every possible way to PC's.

Ah! But do you use fresh horse or dry aged horse that has been hanging in a meat locker? You should only beat your dead horse if it has been aged, fresh horse I would think you would want to marinate in something for a couple days to help break the meat down.

Any ideas? Is the abortion horse dead yet?

The curing process, of course, helps render the meat usable; but one can also get good results marinating the horse in a refrigerated bathtub full of red wine and a dozen or so peeled bulbs of garlic (with some rosemary or terragon added) for about 24 hours.

Of course, one should not use red wine when cooking a horse (or any meat) since the tannins in the wine will actually turn the meat purple.

Sometimes, when injustice is being done, the best thing someone can do is protest it. At least then, when I speak up for those who are being abused, they know that the abuse is not happening in my name. That is why I post in homosexuality threads, not to change peoples' minds, but to speak up for what's right and support an unfairly persecuted minority.

I have some really cool gay friends. They don't deserve the nasty things some people on CF and in our countries say about them. They should know I support them.
