Looking4wisdom - "So, we are only suppose to have the nature of christ?"

In essence, yes. I challenge you to read the book of Romans in the New Testament of the bible.

Following Christ's example is what we shoudl strive to do. Our human nature will be subject to temptations of the flesh. And sometimes we will lose a daily battle here and there. But knowing that we can be victorious over sin because of what Jesus did for us is a beginning victory in and of itself. Jesus was a sinless man, the only perfect human to ever live. That was why it had to be Him that suffered and dies for our sins. God sent Jesus to be the sacrifice. The blessings of Jesus' teachings and healings were fruits of God's love for us. We should eat of that fruit daily and ensure that the vine is kept healthy and clean for fruit to continue to grow.

it isn't alway easy. And living as a christian is sometime fraught with hard times and mysteries. But it is the eternal reward of heaven and praising God that helps us focus on God and He is able to lead us through those rough times.

There are many who are single and marries who are followers of Christ. Plus Christ's marriage IS described in the bible...but in a spiritual sense. Christ is the bridegroom and we, believers, are the bride of Christ.

Your Maker is your husband--the Lord Almighty is his name. (Isaiah 54:5)

Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. (Revelation 19:7)

Therefore, We as the church, are married to Christ.

Ephesians 5:21-33 - Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband
Christ sets the example of marriage. That is one of the reasons homosexuality is detested by God.

If you are of the feminine orientation and are male, people may not say it openly, but I have heard them say in private that a Liberace is not what the church should put forward to the public.

Even if the church leader is not as good as his feminine coworker, the church members would still prefer the more masculine to be the example of the church to the public.

I have never heard of any Christians make these comments about a layperson who was a feminine male.

I know plenty of straight men who act a bit feminine. Some of them even have wives and children.

Jesus did never condemn homosexuality, what matters for God is that people love and help eachother.

Paulus however did condemn, kill and persecute Christians, it would only lie in his nature to persecute other people too. Like muslims he wanted us Christians to wear headscarves for the woman and saw simular sex amongst people as a sin against God.

I never was a Paulus fan, his scriptures only build back on the old Jewish beliefs and not on that of Jesus, for Jesus did not say for no reason that Paulus was slapping his hand backwards in sharp nails for no reason.

This nowadays has led towards the hatred and unacceptance of many Gay people who now feel unloved and unwanted and often commit suicide because they are different. I myself am a straight person who knows that we Like Jesus ,and God must love everyone. For God = Love, and love therefore can be only God. God has created these people which means that they are perfect, there's a very subtle difference between lust and love. Therefore If two people really love eachother then its perfectly ok, even if the act is unnatural what matters is the love between the two individuals.

http://www.near-death.com/dale.html

Describes a near death experience of a gay man who was completely accepted by God even worse his sexual preference wasn't even mentioned when he stood in front of the lord. Which leads me to understand that Paul had no idea on what he was saying, and that we should prefer to listen to Jesus who is the son of God almighty ,rather then to an apostal who persecuted Christians.

Okay, so now I understand that the Bible is against homosexuality...I guess I just cant understand why two people of the same orientation can't be christian...What if they really do love each other?
It depends upon how you define "love." In the Bible, there were multiple words for love.

Porneo (I may be spelling this wrong) was sexual love. (From where we get pornography)
Philleo was the love from friendship. (This is why Philadephia is "the city of brotherly love")
Agape was the love that God has for man.

When God ordains a marital relationship, the man loves the wife "as Christ loved the church." In other words, in a Christian marriage--where God is in control--one spouse loves the other with the God kind of love. Thus, you have all three types of love in a healthy marriage.

However, in a relationship where God is not in control, Agape is missing. Oh yes, you may well have porneo, and you could have philleo... but you will never have agape, because God does not condone homosexual activity. (Keep in mind, He invented sex. He has the patent on it, so to speak.)

You say that you "struggle" with homosexuality. You only "struggle" with things if you know that what you are doing is wrong. I don't "struggle" with breathing, unless I am choking--and then my "struggle" is not with breathing, but with not-breathing. A "struggle" always presuposes a norm that you are trying to maintain or achieve. If you knew deep down in your heart that nothing was wrong with homosexuality, you would not be "struggling" with it.

Then, you wonder, if these feelings are not from God, from whence do they come?

Well, our carnal flesh is at enmity with God. Satan, therefore, has a foothold in our own bodies to pervert philleo and porneo into something different--into something that would attempt to take the place of agape.
