As a teenager I purchased my first component sound system along with a couple of Pioneer loud speakers. I enjoyed the system for years, until I could afford to upgrade, and upgrading continues to this day. Currently have a descent 5.1 setup in the living room. I am using a Cerwin-vega center channel and the rest are Polk (including a PSW10). Actually prefer the Cerwin-vega center over my Klipsch and Yamaha center channel speakers. Even at my computer good sound is important to me. I have a couple of Logitech (Z-5500 and the previous 5.1 model) THX certified sets and use Creative Labs sound cards. Unfortunately the sub got fried by lightening in one of them (the older model). Anyway I suppose I could be labeled a sound enthusiast because quality sound is important to me. I have spent loads of time reading reviews, and always give them weight when deciding. I am curious how many sound enthusiasts frequent CF. Tell me about your systems and how you decide on components and what you look for and expect.
