what are your guys opinions on being home alone with the opposite sex, one on one. my folks have been going weird on me recently. i went to one of my really close guy mates house during the day and we were alone, just stuffing around, reading the bible and playing basketball, and then on another occasion a guy im sorta seeing (not quite, its a weird situation, we're more than friends, but not dating yet) came round to my place late one night and we were alone, my folks were out, and we were just watching tv (nothing happened, dont sweat). but the weird thing is my parents had a problem with me being alone with my guy friend, like a serious problem with it, but didnt bat an eyelid with the guy i like. what do you guys think about being alone with the opposite sex. i personally dont see whats wrong with it, within reason. if i was doing stuff i shouldnt, i could understand the problems with it. ive spoken to friends, both christian and non christian and they're split 50/50. some say we should never be one on one and some say its nothing to worry about. any advice?

Only you know whether or not you have enough self-control to handle the alone time. If you know that you can handle it then it's no big deal. If you know that you are weak in this area then you should avoid it. Your icon says that you are 18, that means that you are old enough to make adult decisions. Good luck

Yes, be careful, things could happen that will go with you for the rest of your life as regrets. Obeying the Bible is important. It is God's Word of truth to us. He says NO sexual sin, and that sex is to held off until marriage if a person has trouble with self control.

Eph 5:3 Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.

1 Corintians 6:18 Run away from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.

Teen guys tend to have better luck with women when the parents are away... Parents aren't stupid, they know this too.

But hey, some guys are harmless, and others would just as soon rape you if they got the chance, and really, you can never know. But if you've been friends for a while and it's an okay guy, go ahead...but first of all obey your parents. That is a commandment that we are to follow.

Best advice: Don't put yourself in a situation where you can make the mistake. Why don't dating couples live together? Temptation. God isn't just concerned with the sin we commit, but if we allowed or put ourselves in a situation that easily led ourselves to it.

Ultimately, remember to honor your parents and their decisions. They are only looking out for you.
