Holy Trinity

Can someone please explain what the holy trinity is, and list some bible verses that support the definition? I really had trouble with this when I was a christian because Jesus and God seemed like two separate beings.

The Trinity is that in there are 3 separate divities, The
Father, The son, and the Holy Ghost. They are separate and distictly separate i.e.the Father is not
the Son or the holy, the Son is not the father nor
the Holy Ghost. The Holy ghost is not the Son or
the Father.
To go further there is only one God. If you understand
this you got the Trinity Wrong. Tradition tell us
this mystery will be revealed in heaven little
by little.
