Basic trials and tribulations at the wizarding school of Hogwarts, of course, based on the series of Harry Potter, though, I am going to outlaw Harry Potter characters to be played. I know, this may not be fair, but I want everyone who joins to create a new character, and show them through the seven years of Hogwarts.
You may discuss Voldemort, but please, ask before playing an encounter with him. Also, this is based a little bit after Harry and his friends have left Hogwarts (not the same storyline, Voldemort is back, but not defeated/or he hasn't conquered, and he is still quite evil) so speaking of the famous wizard is just fine.
No teachers may be played, they are NPC's, and I will try to play some classes, but you might just want to use going to a class as an excuse to leave your computer for some reason.
Aside from all the usually information to be posted with your bio (name, age, etc.) I would also like to know:
- Year (1-7 of course, but please remember not everyone can be in the seventh year, and when the year ends, you will be gone from hogwarts!)
-Wand- the make (holly, ebony, etc., a type of wood), and the core (veela, or unicorn, a type of hair or feather usually)
-Also, maybe some backround info on family such as:
pureblood- has both a witch and a wizard for parents
halfblood- either has a witch or a wizard for a parent, who is married to a "muggle", or a non-magical person
mudblood- (though please refrain from using this term because it is not the nicest thing to say, but it is the best description) a person who has 2 muggles for parents
-Some physical description of your character
-And which house you put yourself into (I am trusting that you will choose wisely)
Let me explain more about Hogwarts. It is basically a castle located in Britian where young witches and wizards are taught how to use and strengthen their powers. Dumbledore is the headmaster, despite the sixth book, and the four houses and their heads remain the same. There is also a lake and forest which reside right next to Hogwarts.
I'm new at this, so please, pm me with comments, questions, or just stupid mistakes I made!! I won't post my character until I see that people have responded to this thread....
