Hobbies - apart from forums- lol. Reading, going to the gym, singing, listening to music, eating out and eating in - lol, travelling to foreign climes.

Bumping! We have a lot of new folks here these days.

I love to sail and started a sailing club for the church youth in Biscayne Bay with 7 catamarans, tremendous fun. I work with various groups on property rights groups, growth management, environment watchdog groups, and various of our civic associations.
I also love to fiddle with hardware/software installations, wireless networks, any tech toys, etc..
I have a farm which I tend as a hobby if you can imagine thats a lot of work, my wife wanted to grow our own food and vegetables, and milk and eggs....
Then in my spare time I go to my regular 9-5 job...so the only time I have to post online is in the middle of the night or on non-caffeine coffee breaks.....

Sounds like you are a busy guy Reddogs.

How did you get started in civic associations?

They are building roads, connections to the highways, water and sewer, expanding or building bus, transportation, landfill facilities, and doing a Transfer of Development Rights Program, and looking at how to fund and build 8 Billion more worth of infrastructure here in our county. All so the Barron Collier family and special interests can build more developments and special districts such as Ave Maria and take over hundreds of properties and destroy the homes already there and pave and build parking lots over our little section of paradise on earth......

They tried to take our neighborhood for bus and landfill facilities as we are in a agriculture area, not just my property but the whole neighborhood so we organized and joined the civic organizations, started a goverment watchdog organization and began a news and information campaign (they made me spokesman, lucky me ) to save the homes they want to destroy with the new roads which were never in the original 30 year future road plans, got our civic association people on the committees to oversee the 8 Billion they say they want to spend on new roads, water, sewer, drainage, schools, parks, libraries and emergency services for us, but in reality will go to build just the infrastructure for the developers, and preparing to eventually fight the county when they come after our neighborhood. Other than that after work I just sit around and fix fence posts, feed the animals, or sleep in the back pew........

I'm into music. love to sing, write and play guitar. took 4 years of classical voice lessons and 2 years of classical guitar music. I also like movie In 2005 from 09-2005 to 01-2006 i watched about 400 movies. I took advantave of the block buster movie pass. I am also learning to cartoon.

That is a lot of movies.

I rarely watch movies myself. When I do it is generally when the wife and I are working out. We got some Christian and nature videos for the kids and they like those pretty well. They love to watch this cartoon series on the Old Testament. We watch tv mainly just at night when we work out as well, for something to do to pass the time a bit more quickly. Exercise bike is a boring thing!

Since we work out about 40 minutes a night, that would take a whole lot of months to watch that many movies.

I start teaching the lesson next week, and in addition to a bible study have gotten official permission to start a online bible study at a website, and last week was made a church group leader to organize how to raise funds for the new Anglo church and school, (I was already unofficially raising funds for the Spanish church and had started a worthy student fund so any hispanic child could get help), and put on the school board so the back pew has been empty for a while......



Like I said when I first came, I feel like Rip Van Winkle being away from God in the spiritual wilderness as until something friends gave me woke me up...

no there are about 1000 to 1500 movies in the store at a time and some are phazed out. . If you looks at the new relese wall there are lots of the Same movies and it looks like there are more then there actually is. there are only about 100 new movies at time all though the wall is updated weekely every tusday any where from 5 to 15 movies come out weekly. ever week movies are taking down. Movies on the movie wall are there 1 years from the dat they go up. if you watch as that many movies then the wall gets old real quick.
