  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Has anyone every heard of this Swedish woman, Lisa Johansen, who claimed to be the real Lisa Marie Presley? It's a pretty wacky story. She used to have her own website, which apparently has since been pulled.

She wrote a book called I, Lisa Marie, for which she was paid a $200,000 advance and was supposed to undergo DNA testing. She refused the DNA tests, DUH, which would have proved her case and sold millions of copies of her book. Gee, I wonder why she wouldn't get tested? Especially since she was offering half of Elvis's estate (including Graceland) to anyone who could help prove that she was indeed the King's daughter. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Anyway, she's been sued by the real Lisa Marie. I guess that's why her website is down.

Here is an exerpt from the story on this site:

Someone in Austira know if this is true or hoax?

Fake Snakes

"Austrian officials fed up with motorists stopping to urinate by the roadside have put up fake snake warnings to scare them into using toilets... Of course there are no snakes but they don’t know that."

So what happens when the Austrian authorities really want to warn people about snakes? No one will believe them.

Thousands of people have been 'fleeced' into buying neatly coiffured lambs they thought were poodles.

Entire flocks of lambs were shipped over from the UK and Australia to Japan by an internet company and marketed as the latest 'must have' accessory.

But the scam was only spotted after a leading Japanese actress said her 'poodle' didn't bark and refused to eat dog food.

Like hundreds of Metro.co.uk readers, we also think this has a whiff of the 'urban myth' about it - but hey, it's a good story.

Lambs for Poodles Part Two

Maiko Kawakami, who starred in the Japanese thriller Violent Cop, showed photographs of her pet on a television talk show only to be told it wasn't a dog - but was in fact a lamb.

The discovery prompted hundreds of women to contact the police with similar problems and the authorities believe as many as 2,000 people have been conned.

'We launched an investigation after we were made aware that a company was selling sheep as poodles,' a police spokesman told The Sun.

'Sadly, we think there is more than one company operating in this way.

'The sheep are believed to have been imported from overseas - Britain and Australia.'

Poodles are famously used by the rich and glamourous on the continent but are extremely rare in Japan, with many people having little idea what they look like.

The company, which translates as Poodles as Pets, sold the 'poodles' for £630, about half the cost of a normal poodle but is now understood to have been shut down.

If they can't tell the difference between a lamb and a poodle, they deserve to be fleeced.....lol

Cheers,

Jim

There are such blatant differences, I mean truly blatant, such as differences that I don't really care to mention... but come on!:)
