Do any of you attend this church? If so could you tell me what its like there? Ive always wanted to go but its hard to just go to the otherside of the world lol.

hey im from hillsong church..hills centre..Its been my home for over a year now and I love it!! I thankgod each day for hillsongs kindness and service they have done for me

I met Darlene at a Hillsong conference around 7 years ago.

hey! hillsong church is just awesome..our youth ministry is growing every week, on friday night there was no room for everyone so people had to be sitting on aisles .. its just full of people passionate about Jesus! I feel completly blessed to be part of the Hillsong family and I just know god has his hand on it, as it continues to bring people closer to god

Im from hillsong (GO CITY CHURCH) but i was bought up in a Baptist church and I used to full on struggle with the hillsong thing but i figured that If the whole hillsong thing was not in line with God,then he would have done something about it by now. It says in the word that eventually all in darkness will be shown in the light. It also that healthy things grow and as this church has a congregation exceeding that of over 20,000 and ever growing, it is plain to see that the favour of God rests heavily on this place wether people like it or not.

I'm a pastor of a Baptist church in the south of Sydney, but have been to quite a few services at Hillsong & have spoken to a few of the pastors there. I'd be interested to know if those who criticise Hillsong have actually been there (a few times) or read their books.
There are a lot of critics of Hillsong regarding the $ issue, yet no one mentions the many church that are unable to reach their budget, who miss ministry opportunities due to a lack of trust in God.
I pastor a church of just over 200 people. The greatest longing I have for my people is that they trust God 100%. The most difficult area to do that in, especially in the western world, is generally finance. The people in my church who are strong givers are also heavily involved in ministry & utilising their gifts. Those who are casual givers are mostly pew sitters with little committment.
It maybe sad to say, but giving is a barometer of a persons trust in God.

I want to visit Hillsong for a few reasons:
1) We play a lot of their arrangements at church back home and I really admire their music ministry
2) I've never been to a Pentecostal church before and I am curious about it (I like visiting different denominations...I feel like I can learn and understand more because different churches focus on different things and have unique viewpoints on some things)
3) I've also never attended a church with so many people so I'd like to try worshipping in that kind of atmosphere
4) I want to see what all the stink (on here) is about in person
I get to see Darlene next week live in Melbourne for the festival. I'm excited about her performance since I've heard so many recordings.

im not a fan of Hillsong but our church is making the trip down so hopefully they come back with lots more knowledge of how to deliver the worship and sermons

Servant for God
I watched a bit of Hillsong on TV today, heard Pastor Brian give a really good sermon on intimacy. I don't judge Hillsong AT ALL because a)i dont feel its my place to judge anything anyway but also b)i have never been. All I know is many MANY people are becomming Christian through Hillsong so good on em, go for it!
