  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Who is they?

I am curious, though, if Hillary's off the cuff comment brings up fears of deprogramming camps and brainwashing for the opposition, what should Democrats have thought when Trump was calling for Hillary to be locked up? When he wants an honorable soldier, General Milley, executed for criticizing him?

That wasn't cultist behavior. Cultist behavior is following a man who wants to throw his competition in jail (LOCK HER UP!) and chanting that are every rally, Cultist behavior would be thinking that Trump could actually circumvent the election by having his followers break into the Capitol and threaten the Vice President, and vandalize and steal thing and then being shocked when they are charged with a crime. Cultist behavior is praising a man who has repeatedly committed fraud, adultery, commited sexual assault - when no other person would have been considered acceptable for the presidency with far less guilt. Cultist behavior is labeling your competition as blood sucking pediphile murderers and creating scenarios to be outraged at

Neither side is a cult....yet.

Don't you think that voting for someone is to support them?
I know several Republicans that voted for Trump and who also said they’re not part of the MAGA movement, because of what it’s come to mean. One of them was verbally attacked and called a RINO because he didn’t agree with any of the Q nonsense. Those are the people that need some education in critical thinking.

There are Christian pastors that refer to Trump as “A messiah”. The “good conservative Christians” in my family have hinted they believe this. I have a cousin that said he’d gladly die for Trump.

How is that not a cult?

"They" are those who say those things.
As for the 2 individuals you cite as being mentioned by Trump, they are just that--2 individuals, as opposed to anyone who supports the political views of the former president.
That would be about half the population of the USA.

The real problem is that it has come to mean whatever it's opponents have decided it means. Of course, when the opposition is who decides what something means, it ends up meaning something negative.

What if they're just listening and agreeing with an entire movement that wants to throw their competition in jail for 700 years, take away his ability to do business, or run for office, or speak freely, and uses the justice system to bleed him dry so he can't run for re-election?

Noooo, this was specifically one Trump voter telling another Trump voter they weren’t “Trump enough”. Republicans are doing such a good job of it themselves they don’t need help from the Democrats…

Trump wanted to throw her in jail back in 2016. He called for the execution of Gen. Milley for disliking and disagreeing with him.

Trump caused his own problems. The Left did not make him commit fraud, He is dealing with the results of his own bad choices and behaviors,

Actually about a fifth at best. There are about 331 million in the US. There are about 240 million who are eligible to vote and only 66% of them turned out in 2020. Trump got 74 million votes and Biden got 81 million votes. 3 million went to other candidates.

Republicans talk more about "woke" than anyone.

That's because those who practice it won't even call it what it is. It's up to those who recognize it to call it for what it is.

If hillary had actually been thrown in jail back then, we wouldn't have to hear her talk about having people re-programmed as if they were machines. So maybe she's a gift to Conservatives; a mouthpiece that speaks the thoughts of those who rather keep those thoughts silent, so as to avoid being exposed.

Republicans have made their own definition of it,

If she had been thrown in jail back then, she would have more clout now because she would have been released as there was no crime.
People would dislike Trump more than they already do.

Okay. Quote where she stated supporters. The statements I read did not say that.
