CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I actually bought, and tried to eat, a "star" fruit! A "star" fruit????!!!!!

Well we've just found out that I should get it registered with the DVLA. I doubt whether they'll bother to issue a licence plate to an 8 mile an hour scooter that is mainly used on the pavement though. Pity, 'cos I'd like a personalised one.

Now, if only you could figure out a way to attach a plow to the front of your scooter, when it snows you could make a little extra money shoveling walks and driveways and such.

Couple of inches, possibly. Did you know that the official definition of a white Christmas over here is one snowflake landing on the roof of the London weather centre? So it could be declared a white Christmas without the rest of the country seeing any snow at all. Apart from Scotland, that is, where it's almost a foregone conclusion.
