In the case of at least two counties, they have been ordered to do so, unless and until the books in their classrooms have been okayed by a media specialist who has taken specific training from the state.I have a simple question. If the the teachers are coming with the rules and laws of the state, why would they need to cover up their books? Are they trying to hide something?
They have characterized it as a mistake, so that would be 'not on purpose'.So? Did they put it in on purpose or not?
Well Florida already did part of that (and more) with Don't S... er, the Florida Parental Rights in Education Act. This law, in the OP, determines what books are banned in school libraries. Florida recently clarified that it also applies to books in individual classrooms.Hello, if the people of Florida don't want the CRT and LGBTQ indoctrination of children they have a right to outlaw it.
It, (this law)Hello, if the people of Florida don't want the CRT and LGBTQ indoctrination of children they have a right to outlaw it. Education has not been outlawed. CRT and LgBTQ indoctrination has been. Guess what, teachers can still teach math, English, literature, science, reading, history, and believe it or not, there is still sex ed!
So a lot of education is still going on. And a little less indoctrination.
They have characterized it as a mistake, so that would be 'not on purpose'.
More to the point, one hyperlink to a disavowed document is in no way equivalent to the Ed Department's activities on the scale of DARE or STEM. There is no blood-quantum that magically converts this into a major initiative of Biden's Department of Education.

It's not about instruction, per se, but about making sure all books, even completely optional ones for students' self-directed enrichment, available to children in libraries and classrooms are politically correct.
No it doesn't. It's about the inappropriateness of certain topics that kids shoul not have access to. We all recognize that children should not have access to everything right? We all recognize that children should not be taught inappropriate things. We all recognize that children should not be indoctrinated. It, (this law)
Criminalizes speech and is anathema to the Constitution.
I thought that your side wanted “the parents” to decide what their children were learning? No it doesn't. It's about the inappropriateness of certain topics that kids shoul not have access to. Sex education is not currently mandated in Florida. Schools that do teach sex education must emphasize abstinence as the expected social standard. Since Florida schools are not required to provide sex education to students, school districts are left to decide what type of sex education–if any at all–they provide to youth.

Isn't that what this whole thing is about? Patents taking a stand and saying not in our schools? What are you talking about?I thought that your side wanted “the parents” to decide what their children were learning?

So there still is sex ed just like I said. Schools can teach sex Ed if they want to. So I was right. I don't know what you are going on about.I do not believe you. Neither should anyone else.
