 My husband and I have decided that we really want God to decide how many children we are blessed with, but after having two children in three years we are getting anxious about just how many we could potentially have. :o (We both work but do not make much money at all. Things are very tight for us and DH has been job hunting for a better position for about a year now.)

I have started the process of learning NFP, but was wondering if anyone else had these types of feelings? I don't want to doubt the power and wisdom of God, but it is hard at times and in situation like this.

Has anyone else been in my place? How did you overcome doubt and learn to REALLY trust God with everything?

Welcome...

Forgive me if this is old news, but the first, most important step is to be born-again, no matter what church you choose to attend. Being born-again puts us back into intimate standing with God...

"I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless [she] is born again." John 3:3

"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God--" John 1:12

The second (which isn't necessary for salvation, but really helpful for these kinds of decisions) is to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit [Mark 1:8]. It is His job to "guide you into all truth..." per John 16:13-15.

We have quite a bit of difficulty carrying to term, so I don't think I can relate through experience just yet. But theoretically I do relate a little bit. My husband and I can only afford to live in a one bedroom place at the moment. I can see it stretching to a three bedroom place. But how would we fit five grown children in there!?! (The rooms we can afford - we've looked - can only fit one bunk in them). For me it's still very much in the future, and I just hope I am able to birth another live baby one day.

We believe in using NFP if it is necessary too.
