The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Merry Christmas Norm
Doing well...got back from Mom in law's a couple hours ago. It went well....a glass of wine....and I'm good.
Later today...around 1 p.m....we're going to my Mom & Dad's and spending the day there
Really looking forward to that. My Big Sis and her husband are staying with us this week...
The guys were happy, really happy with their gifts.

)I have the next two days off...then back for 6, off for 1 and another stretch of 6...I should be in 'wasted land' at the end of that

I been married about 23 years now but asked her to leave about 18 years back. Staying married prevents future occurences, although I would deny I said that, if asked.
My Christmas will likely be spent at my mothers with a couple of brothers. Couple of meetings to round out the day likely.

Talked to 3 of my 4 kids so far. My oldest in jail was able to get ahold of me thru a conference call and my younger 2 teenage boys are out and about. left message with my 23 yr old daughter who is probably out breaking hearts somewhere. even left message with my favorite ex (as opposed to my least favorite ex - theres more than one...).
must be the season or something.
but am wishing all a sober and happy holiday in whatever manner you celebrate it or call it.
I am enjoying being at home with a day off from work WITH PAY!
maybe theres a santa afterall.....
