  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hey, I'm new here. Earlier this month I lost my wife, my best friend to cancer. We worked together from home and spent all our time together for the last 20 years. She was the best thing that ever happened to me. Over the years she had met many friends in various online Christian forums, so as I've done so many times before I'm trying to continue to learn lessons about life from this wonderful person God sent into my life for far too little time.

Welcome Ice Bear. Prayers for your dear wife and all of you that love and miss her. We just buried my stepfather yesterday who also died of that plague we call cancer. I can relate to your pain. May the Lord have mercy on us all.

I welcome you to these forums and hope you find them useful and edifying to you.

Welcome to the forum in Jesus name it's a great place to be for fellowship with other Christians.
I have my husband home from hospital with terminal cancer. It is so lovely to have him home although he is fading fast.
May the Lord bless you richly as the fellowship I have found here blesses me.
God is so good.

Oh musicalpilgrim, I'm so glad you are able to have him home, but terribly sorry to hear you are going through this too. My wife was very sure she wanted to be at home by my side. And throughout our struggles, one of the things I can say is I was able to support her and follow her wishes. You and your husband will be in my prayers.

Your post brightened my day in more. ways than you could have possibly known, Zephaniah 3:17 is one of my wife's favorites!

Welcome Ice_Bear :wave;

I can understand your feelings. Some 13 years ago I lost my husband to a form of blood cancer after only 18months since diagnosis. It hurt then and it still continues to hurt at times. I was so lucky to be with him as he passed.

I hope the pain you are suffering will ease , though I know it will always be there

Wow I can’t imagine how you might feel.
You might be surprised. It very well could be you that God will use to teach and nurture.
Praying that our Father God places us on the path that he so chooses that we be the most that he would have us be amen.
