Just thought I'd pop in to say hi to everyone. I'm a newcomer to this forum, and thought I'd introduce myself here first because gardening is one of my biggest passions. My house looks like a jungle with all the houseplants i''ve accumulated and I'm slowly starting to work on the outside, trying to determine what to put where as my budget will allow. Anyway, I'm glad to have found this place and am hoping to share some good conversation in the future!

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi! I am new here too.
I am a gardener also. We grow most of our own food for the year in our raised beds. Most of our day is spent working on the garden. I love it! No chemicals of any kind.
What do you all grow? My gardens are all food. Some flowers, but mostly the kind that you can eat too.
