ALL men are not saved. ALL men must make a choice whether they will accept the gift or not. ALL men must make the choice to whether or not to pick up their cross and follow Him.

Jesus died for ALL men, but not ALL men recognize the ultimate sacrifice or even believe it.
It would help if you took the time to find out what the Bible actually teaches rather than depend on a few prooftexts selectively chosen by whoever put that study together. I'm sure you won''t find 1 Tim 4:11 in that list.

Hi Honeydew--well--I 'm sorry if you can't see "it". Perhaps someday you may. But there are a few in here that absolutely REJECT ALL of our Adventist beliefs and yet they still insist that they are Seventh-Day Adventists. It's very annoying to continually have to put up with their nonsense. I DO try to keep quiet about it--but sometimes it's gets on my last nerve.
Maybe God is trying to get to you so you can get that aspect of your being under control.

What works for me, Honor, is taking a step or two back. Sometimes I get so caught up in the forum (actually I am drawing from my experiences with other forums) that I miss some integral point that another person is making. Missing such a point can mean the difference between civility, (and even actually liking that person) and chronic constant tension.

You know something? Jonah asked almost the identical question. God had no problem answering him then; He will have no problem answering you now.

If I may? Coz sometimes you just have to spell it out ...

Jonah, that harbinger of doom for Nineveh, was so mad that God repented of his plan to destroy the sinning folk, that he wished he were dead. He HATED that sinners repented, were forgiven and were able to change the prophecy that after 40 days they would be destroyed.

Let us not forget how many DISGRUNTLED Seventh-day Adventists there are out there in this world. Just because someone doesn't agree with everything they say doesn't mean they AREN'T (technically) Adventist, it just means they are unhappy ones, and in my humble opinion if they are THAT unhappy, they should find the door and seek fellowship in another denomination.

But that is THEIR personal choice, not something we can do anything about.

Most times, I believe statrei just likes to say things that HE thinks will make OTHERS think. It doesn't seem to be working stat, it's an irritant mostly, and a waste of energy.

If you would just come right out, and say what you mean, in plain english, it would go a lot further.

HI Honey-if we are talking about the same person--lol--and I belive we are, there ARE no "intregal points" being made. All that's happening here is a rude and argumentative personality constantly making foolish and stupid remarks to ANYONE'S posts just to still up trouble. "IF" he is trying to make "intregal points", then perhaps either he simply is unable to articulate his opinions in an educated and precise manner OR his "points" are pointless!!! I presume the latter.

Put what study together statrei? The BIBLE tells us that not all men will go to heaven.

1 Tim 4:11 doesn't say anything even close to all men going to heaven.

The Bible even tells us that people thinking they're going to heaven are going to be sorely disappointed when Christ returns.

Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I'm not sure what Bible you're reading Statrei, but it's certainly not the one I have.

To even think of my Lord saying those words to me makes me shudder. It's one of the only verses in the bible that I actually do have memorized, chapter, verse, and all. I never want to forget it...it helps keep me focused on the things I should be...to make certain that He would never say those words to me.

Jon, you know I love you, but you need to edit this post. Whether you leave God from out of in front of the "d" word or not, it's still taking His name in vain. Just the shortened version....so please, I know you don't want to do that...edit the post and break the habit of saying and using the "d" word.
