  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Which simple question was not answered.
That's a lotta' dancin' around to avoid a straight-forward answer (which lack is an answer).
You don't get a free pass on the following question:
Speaking of "grotesquery" of Calvin. . .who is the author of the "grotesquery" in 1 Samuel 15:2-3?
We're both talking about the objection to "grotesquery."

Your objection seems to be inconsistent.
it's either yes or no.

And when choices are required to to be made, affirmation = "yes" while
lack of affirmation = "no". . .which "no" established a double standard.

If you don't mean "no," then it's "yes." . .you get to make it clear.
So, A = Calvin "grotesquery". . . .B = 1 Samuel 15:2-3 "grotesquery,"

Yes = "grotesquery" of A is objectionable. . ."grotesquery" of B is not objectionable
or
No = "grotesquery" of A is objectionable. . ."grotesquery" of B is objectionable.

Which is it. . .Yes or No.
Are you genuinely not aware that you never asked me that question, until I pointed out it was missing?
More dancin' around. . .
The above record is clear.

No more dancin' around for me. . .
.

But many become calvinist because some celebrities pastor on youtube
But how does a person become, because of one's beliefs? This is what matters. So, if someone says he or she is a Calvinist, I want to discover how the person is becoming and living because of what he or she believes. So, Net statistics can't tell me this.

Much of what is argued in the name of Calvinism is putting words into Calvin's mouth that were never there.
And in case someone misrepresents what John Calvin has written, possibly they also have not been good at correctly representing the Bible.

"He who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much," Jesus says in Luke 16:10.
