Hello everybody, I'm new here! My full name is Jacob Matthew Vickers, but I go by Matt. I'm 20 years old (my birthday is today actually!). I've been a Christian as long as I can remember, but lately I feel that God is calling me to something much greater than myself. I can't really explain it, but in my heart I know that there's a whole lot more to this life than meets the eye and that it all begins with God. It's 3:22 AM right now where I live and I have class tomorrow, but God's been pushing me to register for this website ever since I found it, which was sometime yesterday. I have A LOT of questions and I'm a very analytical person, but I also understand that there's a lot that the human mind will never be able to comprehend. I was once told you can't squeeze God into our own box of logic. I believe this is true, but I also believe that through the Spirit's enablement, God can reveal much more to us than we could ever understand on our own and that apologetics is a blessing! I'm actually looking forward to getting into it. Wowwww this may be the longest intro, sorry guys. Haha, well anyways, I'm a very loving guy and I look forward to talking and learning about Christ much more with you guys!

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
