Did you have a choice to be straight? Yes

Did you ever, at any stage in your lives, have the option of choosing to be either homosexual or heterosexual, and then decided to choose to be heterosexual? I had a kind of homosexual attraction feeling once along with heterosexual attraction feelings, and this was when I was just a teenager and before I discovered/realised sexual intercourse was penis in the vagina which I found off putting at first. So yes its a choice.

When did you first make that choice? I knew by instinct that the homosexual attraction feelings were wrong even though I didnt fancy the heterosexual ones either, I was more interested in football.

If you didn't "choose", at what age did you first know you were straight? Not a valid question in my experience.

But I did chose to be a Christian which had a significant impact on my heterosexuality, consequently heterosexuality doesnt really mean much, my sexuality is now Christian.

There seem to be many people who claim sexual orientation is a choice, so I'd like to ask all of the heterosexual people:

Did you have a choice to be straight?

Did you ever, at any stage in your lives, have the option of choosing to be either homosexual or heterosexual, and then decided to choose to be heterosexual?

When did you first make that choice?

If you didn't "choose", at what age did you first know you were straight?

Orientation is not sin so why is whether or not people choose it an issue? The sin is the making the choice to commit those acts that God says to not commit.

That IS choice.

But you answered yes to the first question...?
Ok sorry what I meant is I have a choice (everyone does but some people decide to hide their true selves). I am probably not making any sense now. It sounded so much better in my head.

So you are saying you didn’t choose anything at all about your sexual orientation

I was born heterosexual- never thought of women in that way, and I really doubt that I could ever change. I think we have very limited control over who we're attracted to. (Sean Bean, for example, will always have a special place in my heart) So nope, I didn't choose to be straight.

Actually, now you mention it...OK, I'll put it another way. I cannot change my addiction to coffee!
(you're not allowed to drink Sean Bean, though! I'd be very upset!)

I'm struggling to understand what you are trying to explain.

You knew homosexual attraction was wrong, but wasn't interested in heterosexual ones either. Are you saying you had both homosexual and heterosexual attractions, or are you saying you had neither?
