Justin Thomas Bennett was born @ 8:01 am, Monday January 8, 2007. He was 7 lbs. 15 oz. 20.5 inches long. I started going into a loooong, sloooow labor @ 11:30 Saturday night. I went in @ 7:30 Sunday morning, they gave me the option to go home with a shot of demorol @ 1 pm so I went home and rested for a couple of hours, only to return @ 6 in full labor. I got the epidural shortly thereafter (yes, I AM a wimp....no pain tolerance LOL). After getting the epidural....it pretty well slowed it down BIG TIME. The doctor finally came in and broke my water manually around six. The epidural wore off around 6:45, I started pushing around 7:40 and he was born @ 8:01. The actual delivery was such an incredible experience! He came out with his hand by his head so he tore me up pretty good...but it was so worth it! That's all....I guess! I have to say, though, it was every bit of worth it...he is so perfect! We were really blessed with a smooth (yet looooong) delivery and a beautiful baby boy!
