CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

hey do the witch hazle pads have aloe on them? guess I need to start looking into that just incase... I can't use products with aloe in them

Thank you all SO MUCH! I just love being a mommy and I am so in love with him! I just can't put him down!!! It has been crazy and sleep has been few and far between but he is worth every second of it! We went to the doctor yesterday and he lost a litle bit of weight but the doctor says that is normal. We are both recovering really well...I just can't believe how much God has blessed us!!!! 
Someone asked whether I had an episiotomy or I tore...I actually tore but only because his hand came out by his face. He was face up when I first started pushing and they got him turned around but he popped a hand up @ the last second. The stitches have been the worst of the recovery and they really haven't been all that bad. I have had some advil and used the witch hazel pads and I have bee more than okay. You kow, its funny I can't even remember the problems I had during the pregnancy...

yes, I tore and by the doctor's calculations, I was six days early. But I told them all along that I was due a week before they had me to be so if we went by what I KNEW was my EDD, I was a day late (which makes more sense!). He had really long nails and dry skin so I think that was probably another good indicator that I was more on target. Of course, at this point it REALLY doesn't matter, he is here and healthy and SO PERFECT!

It's great to hear you're doing good!! I don't know if you're nurses told you this but don't cut his fingernails, use a baby nail file because for about a month his nails are attached to his skin and he'll bleed if you cut them. You may already know this but I just thought I'd share that in case you didn't know .

I could never get my babies to stop making a fist long enough to file them!!I am glad you are both so joyful about motherhood-- it is so awesome for me to read your posts, so full of joy! Thank you for sharing that gift with us--with me

I bite his nails still. He moves too much even when asleep. My Aunt told me this and it's so true. You can feel exactly where to bite so you don't cut them by accident.LOL! Or you could be a big wierdo like me and bite them

Thanks Singin! My mom actually went and bought some handy-dandy scissors and she cut them for me...they were SOOO long...he really did a number on himself and he was so teeniny that his little mittens didn't fit. I thought he was so big to begin with but he is really just long and fatless...none of his newborn clothes even fit him!!!
