I have been reading a fascinating book "Animal Miracles" by Brad and Sherry Hansen Steiger that makes me wonder the mystery of why animals save us and how they know we are in danger.
Many of the stories include loyal pet dogs coming to the aid of their owners but there are other stories of random animals coming to protect and save human beings.
For instance, one of the stories was about a group of sparrows chasing away a child molester in a park. Another was about a sting ray who carried a young man on his back for 21 days in the open ocean.
I have been thinking about this and how amazing the altruistic attribute that animals are capable of.
Its one of those things that I cannot explain. I don't know how dogs even know how to predict seizures and the such.
These miracles hint at something definitely supernatural and something beyond human logic.
However, I am sure many disagree with me but I want to hear what you guys think about animal miracles. Do you believe in these stories? I can understand why a loyal pet may protect but why a random, unattached animal?
I would encourage you all to read the book...very cool stories
