Well, I've been enjoying it so far. Yeah, there are similarities, but I think they work to continue the stories from last season, as opposed to creating new stories. People don't change that dramatically after a couple months, and this shows us that.

I think this season is a little slow compared to last season. It's not new enough. Claire continues to hurt herself and act surprised when she heals, Peter continues to use absorbed powers and act surprised that he has them, Mohinder's plans continue to not go the way he hoped they would, Nikki continues to work for "the man" and go on the run. It just all seems so recycled to me. And I get it already, Maya cries and kills people. We've seen that three episodes in a row now, can we move on? It even seems like they are going to use the same story with Isaac's paintings that they used last season.

I dunno. I'm just not enjoying it as much this season.

Oh, why did you have to say that?! I've had the feeling that I just need to get back into the story, or that maybe I'm just not as excited about it as I was last season, or maybe the novelty has worn off. But I kept telling myself to ignore those thoughts. [Gets out the Prozac]

I'm still definitely enjoying it. Make sure you're not comparing the first three episodes to the season as a whole. I think if you took a group of three episodes from last season and compared them to these three, there'd be a lot of similarities with the pace.

Thank you for restoring my confidence in the show somewhat. I feel a little better now. Whew! [Puts down the Prozac]

I feel that it has to build some story for the story to take off. I like that Peter don't know who he is, and that he obviously is around other heroes, who haven't showed their powers yet. (which I think the Irish girl and her brother are) I don't know if Candice is dead really or it is all just a very elaborate illusion on her part to make it all believable. I guess we will see. As far as niki and Micah go, we still don't really know what all she can do, other than mega strength.

The stories are progressing extremely slowly. After over 120 minutes of content, very little has occurred compared to other storyline based series. I am extremely disappointed.

Remember that Peter is capable of both rapid healing (like Claire) and can also fly on his own. With Peter, my question is how he ended up in Ireland chained to the inside of a shipping container?

As for Nate, he seems to be badly depressed to the point he can't take care of himself, much less holding any type of job. The thing I question is what Nathan saw in the mirror in the bar; is that what he really looks like due to the radiation from holding Peter and someone how has abilities like Candace has made him appear normal, is he healed (would likely require someone with a healing ability like Linderman had), or is there some other option I'm missing? And we still don't know what power their mother had.

I think it is guilt as well. It seems to make the most sense to me.

The last episode of season 1 was early November, just after the elections. So four months would make it March. Actually, the idea that Peter healed himself and flew back to Earth is conjecture, I think they are being purposely vague. While it seems obvious that Peter had to have healed himself, he could have fallen from the sky rather than flying.

As for Nathan, he was president in a future in the blast destroys much of New York. Since Nathan stopped Peter, the tragedy that vaulted Nathan to the presidency did not occur. He should be serving in Congress and appears to have stepped down -- one would assume the reason given was "health reasons", we just don't know if it was his mental health from the guilt he feels or if holding onto exploding Peter caused him to need to physically heal. But it's also possible he's merely using health reasons for not actively serving and his seat is being held open for him when he recovers.
