I was just thinking about this today if there was a corolation!
And behold, I read this in your post!

Bill Schnoebelen, a former Satanist, says, "To the sorcerer, the
hexagram is a powerful tool to invoke Satan." In fact, the
word "hex" -- as to put a "hex" or "curse" on people -- comes from
this word.
There is no evidence to connect the hexagram with David, his father.
There is no reason to believe that David, a man after God's own
heart, would ever adopt a Satanic, occult, or pagan symbol for
his "shield." But Satan the devil, the father of liars and deceivers,
would certainly love to have you think so!

I believe this is very true.

Yes, we are to be children of the light!

We will KNOW because we will see the dark symbol of Satan and the
occult, replaced on their National flag, with LIGHT from either the
Burning Bush and/or the Menorah. Maranatha. Alleluia Yeshua. Bruning
Bush, or Menorah, or Both, let the symbol of the God who is Light,
the God of Israel, be the symbol of Light, rather than darkness.
While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the
children of light. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye
light in the Lord: walk as children of light: Ye are all the children
of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor
of darkness

I read somewhere that someone tried to make the hexagram star into a G-dly symbol by saying that it did indeed have six points and six trianges, but the center hexagon made a total of seven. Also that the triangele facing down was G-d looking down over us and the one facing up, was those who loved him , his people, looking up to heaven to him. A little different interpretation than the one pointing up is man trying to get to heaven ( Babel) and the one pointing down was Bringing G-d down from heaven, the Cabbalists view.

Meanwhile the impact of Madonna studying Kabbala and how many are talking about it was realized last night as it became a Jeopardy question already. :(

One thing we must remember about this number is that it was not something the devil came up with. It was Yeshua who gave this information, this clue, explaining the 'mark' of the devil, because he will come as a man, just as Yeshua did, to deceive man into thinking he is G-d, but he falls short. Yeshua gave us this number to keep us from harm.

Ahavah said:
..and we all know that in the end Solomon's life...

There is much to learn from Shlomo [Solomon]. But we often forget what he finally concluded.

Kohelet [Ecclesiastes]
12:13 The end of the matter, all has been heard. Fear HaElohim, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.
12:14 For HaElohim shall bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.

I think he could'nt have concluded that without learning the "other side". But we should take this advise from him as well, "There is nothing new under the sun" . By his day he could read through the Torah and see from the beginning HaSatan's plan to decieve, and I think this is a lesson that the wisest man alive was even deceived into following him so we all must heed that well!

This is Long. This is not Me. But someone posted it to me at another forum.

The Star of David is more accurately described as the Star of Solomon, as Solomon was the first king to turn away from the Lord and worship the planetary star gods (all related to the Nephilim) of the pagan nations that surrounded Israel. Solomon was the offender who introduced the pagan star symbol to Israel. As others here have pointed out, the Jewish Star is, without a doubt, the star of satan.

The fact that Stephen inserted the name Remphan was prima facie evidence that he knew the Jews were following the star goddess of the Nephilim-Rephaim, and it was this very statement that caused the Jewish leaders to become so enraged that they actually bit him before they murdered him: "When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth." (Act 7:54)

Scripture is very clear that we are to give no place to the devil in our daily lives. The Word of God is particularly insistent about not taking "the accursed thing" into our homes (Jos 6:18). In the OT, we are vehemently warned about the threat of occultic items, idols, and any images of jealousy.

In Jeremiah, God says to "learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven..." (Jer 10:2). While this passage goes on to condemn the demonic practice of placing a "Christmas" tree in your house in honor of Tammuz day (December 25th), it also addresses the Satanic origin of "the signs of heaven." The so-called Star of David is actually just such a sign -- or symbol.

Over the centuries, the Lord sent many prophets to reprove and correct apostate Israel -- enter Stephen. During most of ancient Israel's apostacy, we see the names Baal and Ashteroth as the objects of their adoration. During various historical eras, these same false gods were worshipped under other names -- two of which are Moloch and Chiun.

Today, Solomon figures prominently in the secret symbols and occultic signs of Freemasonry as its "first most excellent Grand Master" (Freemasonry, Jack Harris, Whitaker House, 1983, pg. 21) The trail of the star god religion leads all the way back to ancient Egypt. Freemasonry's occult rituals are also associated with the tabernacle in the wilderness and the temple built by Solomon.

In other words, the occultic group known as Freemasonry counts Solomon as their first "Grand Master." They have modeled their own "Lodge Rooms" on the temple built by Solomon, and they have formally recognized that Solomon's occultic practices trace back to Egypt.

Countless "Christian" ministries have accepted apostate doctrines, rituals, and symbols from pagan sources that came to us through lateral religious traditions such as Judaism. Indeed, others have written about the nefarious Satanic star with very little reaction from those who choose to continue to employ the emblem. The truth is, most "Christian" ministries that are complicit in the practice will refuse to hear this warning as well. "Christians" around the world uniformly resist teachings of this nature whenever they are confronted with the pagan history of the Christmas tree, Lent, Easter rituals, and other pagan practices that have stealthily infiltrated the church of Jesus Christ.

Nevertheless, we need to identify the scope of the problem. Unfortunately, this particular apostacy is extremely widespread. In New Jersey, for example, one of the world's largest Christian ministries to Jewish people is called the Friends of Israel. They publish a widely read magazine known as Israel My Glory. This group prominently features the Satanic symbol, the Shield of Solomon, on their logo.

In Florida, a significant Christian ministry named Zion's Hope, run by Christian best selling author Marv Rosenthal, opened a $16 million dollar theme park called The Holy Land Experience. Their magazine, Zion's Fire, features as its logo a dove superimposed over the occultic symbol. In fact, early this year, Zion's Hope promoted a "Christian" communion-related product which featured the six pointed star.

The Jewish Voice Ministries is one of the oldest Messianic Jewish Christian ministries in America. On radio, TV, and print, they are well known. Their logo carries their version of the star of Remphan.

In Texas, another Messianic ministry is Sojourner Ministries. This major ministry also chooses to identify itself with the Satanic Shield of Solomon.

In Oklahoma, the prophecy ministry Lion and Lamb Ministries, run by Monte Judah, a Messianic Jew, also prominently portrays the insidious Star of Solomon in their logo.

There is even a Bible school known as the Institute of Jewish Studies -- which is a college level program operated by the Philadelphia College of the Bible and which displays the six pointed star logo. These are all ministries that profess Jesus Christ -- yet they maintain the infernal symbol of Saturn in their corporate logos and literature.

These are only the tip of the iceberg. There are hundreds more. A thorough examination of the theological justifications put forth by each ministry is beyond the scope of this post. However, there are a couple of brief common denominators that may be noted. All of the ministries listed are dispensational (of which their marketing vehicle is the "pretrib rapture theory") in their theology. All are incorporated and all are state-licensed, 501(c)3 government-sanctioned "nonprofit organizations."

The Bible makes it clear that the time will come when all the religious groups in the world, including "Christian" churches and ministries, will be somehow bound together through a common bond. Revelation says this religious "harlot of Babylon" becomes the repository for every imaginable demonic doctrine and seducing spirit. Scripture further states that this religious collective becomes so apostate that it is beyond redemption.

God instead tells His Remnant church to "come out of her" in order to avoid the plagues that she will eventually receive (see Revelation 18 for details). The true Christian church, which is the Remnant of Israel, is told to "come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you" (2 Cor 6:7). The Apostle Paul argues eloquently that "what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God..." (2 Cor 6:16)

We must be willing to recognize the devices of the Devil, for the Bible promises us that the believer will not be ignorant of them (2 Cor 2:11). We must also be willing to renounce "the hidden things of dishonesty" (2 Cor 4:2) when the Lord brings them to the light of day. Speaking the truth against evil is always a difficult course of action, but we can have no part in the abominable things, for "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness..." (Is 5:20).

Last but not least, we must be willing to distance ourselves from those who refuse to heed the same leading of the Lord. This may be the most uncomfortable aspect of our responsibility, but it is the most important. When God tells His believers to disassociate themselves from the apostate church, it is for our own good. He doesn't want us to suffer the consequences that are going to be poured out upon the children of disobedience.

The Bible does not offer the "come out of her" statement as an exhortation. It is not an emphatic suggestion. It is a plain commandment coupled with an 'either or' set of consequences. Because we have demonstrated that this particular issue was a central feature of the judgement that fell on ancient Israel, how shall we escape the judgement of God if we neglect the same warning on the very same issue?

Turn away from the things of darkness. "The light of the body is the eye: therefore, when thine eye is single [seeing truth], thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness" (Lu 11:34, 35).

the occult also elevate and use Yeshua/Jesus - they of the evil had taken every symbol - even those specifically created by HaShem, such as the rainbow, and have stollen and twisted them into corrupt purposes....

I was mulling this over in the shower and two things came to mind. In the Torah portion we have been discussing we talked about Isaac and children of the flesh and children of the spirit. I wonder if this could be the same thing. The L-RD did give a symbol to Israel, the Menorah, which was patterned after what was in heaven. He showed it to Moshe and in turn he gave the specifics to have it built. Israel today even admits that it is the symbol of Israel. But yet there is the star on the Flag. Could this possibly be

Menorah - of the Spirit
'Star of David' - of the flesh

?

Also someone posted that two symbols were given to Israel, and could be used today.

The Menorah and the Burning Bush.

I thought the Burning bush odd, But then I realized that this was something else in the flesh, at present the President of the United States. Isn't it he who is trying to take from Israels handsthe land promised to Israel?

Not fully fleshed out but see what you think.

I'm sorry - I can't agree with any of that and it just sounds like the kind of mis-matching and stretch for connection I left the charismatic movement over... JMO - personal POV and not meant to say ANYONE *is* that - just that this approach sounds that way to me....

I can find literally thousands of "explanations" that numerically show the Catholic church and the pope is the antichrist. I've also seen where people will numerically "prove" using scripture and historical dates that Mormonism is the antichrist.

Whom am I to believe???

Numbers can be played in several ways. When I see the aforementioned posts, I don't see an explicit "Here's what history says about the Mogan David and its origins".... I see a lot of "well, when you look at it you can see X Y and Z."

It might be fun to speculate, but without historical evidence of its origins, one can not make a foundation out of these speculations.

I won't be one to authoritatively dictate the history of the Mogan David because it simply isn't known. But if I might let the "Jewish Perspective" give its speculation...
The "Angel of the L-rd" or the Metatron, appeared to David a number of times. Written upon the chest of the Metatron was a symbol that looked like the letter V. David later made these "V's" into a circle, forming the Mogan David (or a "star" as the Metatron/Messiah was prophetically known as the Morning Star). He then placed this symbol upon the sheilds of his elite fighting squad when they would go into battle. Whenever they would bear this symbol in battle they would easily defeat the enemy.

This is why the symbol is known as "the Star of David." Even more so, it is seen purely as a Messianic symbol in Judaism (messianic as 'representing the messiah', not representing the sect ;) ) because it was upon the Messiah that David first saw this symbol.

Now... While I agree with much of what the posts describe as "purging ourselves of paganism", I have to disagree with our 'standard' or measuring stick of what is defined as paganism. Nothing historically has produced evidence that the Mogan David has come from pagan origins. We have seen that various pagan religions have copied Judaism throughout the centuries (ie: the design of the temple, various flood stories, menorot, etc.). But in order to cast something off as "pagan" I think we need to have more than just "similarities" between Judaism and some pagan expression, but an explicit "who came first" must be investigated.

Without this, I'm afraid I'm going to say many of you have 'jumped the gun'. :D

shalom,
yafet

Going back to my first point, as you can see there are many ways to 'interpret' the visual imagery. Until we definatively find the authoritative history, I'm afraid its all speculation. sorry...

Are we then only accepting things that are absolute? And what shall we agree is absolute? Scripture or should we inclued Talmud/ Zohar in that too. If so then we all should be atheists, for there is no absolute proof of G-ds existance aside from what we know personally, nothing we really can impart to anyone to make them believe.

If we are basing on scripture, then what we 'do' have is the references to Israel falling into paganism and mixing it with what HaShem taught in the wilderness.

"OT" Amos 5:
21 I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies. 22 Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts. 23 Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols. 24 But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream. 25 Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel? 26 But ye have borne the tabernacle F20 of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves. 27 Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the LORD, whose name is The God of hosts.

And then Stephan, knowing that he was doomed sought to warn his brethren, and made sure to mention this rather obscure scripture:

Acts 7:37-43 This is that Moses...to whom our fathers wold not obey, but thrust him from them, and IN THEIR HEARTS TURNED BACK AGAIN INTO EGYPT... And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifices unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. Then G-d turned, and gave them up to worship the HOST OF HEAVEN: as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to Me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of FORTY YEARS IN THE WILDERNESS? Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the STAR OF YOUR gOD REMPHAN, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

Note; not sure if I posted it or not but Dr. Graham, while English ( from England) he is also Jewish, or actually "Hebrew Christian". He wore the star until he did the research. The book he wrote should answer many questions, and there are quotes from it above.

I should think that with those warnings, and coupled with the worlds understanding and view of the six pointed star ( definitions) that we should at the very least avoid any symbols of stars, five or six pointed. Where it says that they have bourne the tabernacle of Molech, and the star of their G-d it is imparting, I believe that these things were mixed together, and that is what made the L-RD so angry.

No, but I certainly don't want to take things that are completely legit and denounce them. While I certainly do want to be one to purify ourselves of paganism, I think there is a bit of common sense to be had before rejecting anything and everything.

While I stand for the removal of paganism, I think that many messianics tend to go overboard and a bit maniacal with such things. Its a similar attitude with denouncing the Rabbis. While it is perfectly fine to state your disagreement with their decisions, but to call them "evil" and "satanic" disgusts me. The same thing happens with this fanatical craze/zeal to rid paganism. Everything and anything ends up being labelled "pagan" with no evidence or basis.

Yes, I despise the inclusion of paganism from christmas, to easter, to communion, to the cross itself. However, I'm going to at least let reason and common sense have their way when evaluating what truly is of pagan origin.

And what shall we agree is absolute?
That which is pagan in origin. ;)

History is quite evident if one is diligent enough.

Unfortunately, there has NEVER been conclusive evidence that the Mogan David has pagan origins. sorry.

Now you're just being facetious. However... I'll play your game. If you want conclusive evidence that G-d exists, look to creation. Science perfectly proves/explains/legitimizes that HaShem has created the universe. I can point to any number of scientific proofs for creation.
