You know me, I am so about tradition and heritage. I love Exodus...I see it as the basic foundation upon which Israel was formed, and the building blocks of our Christian faith.

I also love the fact that Moses had to face his own fears and weaknesses and obey God for such a monumental task as escaping Egypt to happen.

Good lesson in obedience and trust.

Realistically, all of the books have a purpose and an area I am passionate about, but Exodus has always drawn me.

What is yours?

I use to love to play capture the flag. What was your favorite game as a kid?

By myself, I had had dozens of fantacy scenarios....almost always involving horses, of course. With others, if they didn't love "horse" games, I loved to play the many variations of hide-and-seek combined with tag. We moved a few times, so each place seemed to have a slightly different name for it, and slightly different rules.

I also was a fanatic for board games...Monopoly, Clue, Backgammon, Cribbage, Scrabble (my current fave), and Life.

Did you like any board games?

Are you cooking Easter dinner? If so, what are you having? Or are you going out to eat?

We'll be at my mother's house, and other than a Ham, anything else could happen, we all enjoy creative cooking (my mom, my stepdad-probably the best cook among us-, my sister, her husband -who also cooks well-), so it will be interesting to see what ends up on the table by the time we are done.

My sister, her husband, and their kids arrive at my home Wednesday night, so it'll be a good 4 days of eating yummy stuff.

Planning on gaining some weight this week. I'll go burn it off later.

Toilet Tissue Paper:

1) Over or Under?

2) Do you get upset when someone puts it on the "wrong" way?

3) When visiting do you notice if others have it the "wrong" way?

Over the top! (and it is fun to say that phrase besides...whhhoohooo!)

Only at night when I can't find it, only to realize that I have spun half of the roll onto the floor before I realized it wasn't where it SHOULD be.

Yes, but usually I am not in the dark at night at someone elses home, so it doesn't bother me....simply is an interesting thing to note.

Cute topic :p !

 faithmom! Thought I should drop by and ask you a question or two myself:

1) What is your favorite spice to use while cooking?
2) Are you an animal lover?

My favorite spice? I cook a lot...hungry people in my house constantly ^_^ ....probably chilipowder, but really it is pretty spread across the board. I also use fresh grated black pepper, ginger (powdered and the root), cinnamon, curry (don't tell my hubby, he says he hates it, but I sneak it in on some things....if it's below the detection radar, he loves it, but can't figure out what he tastes)and a bunch more.

Now on herbs, take away anything by my basil. Well, I wouldn't like if you took away my cilantro either....or my chives....or my parsely hmmm. O.K. Just don't take away my herbs in general!

Yep, LOVE animals. But we only have a dog right now. Growing up, I have had horses (my first love), dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, girbils, a crow (deserted as a baby, fed it taught it to fly, set it free), parakeets, finches and fishes...I think I remembered them all.

My hubby loves animals if they belong to someone else, so we compromised and got a hunting dog (for him), but she is my dog the rest of the year.

She's a chocolate pointing lab and is the best dog I've ever had with kids. I found my daugher lying on her like a pillow last summer, while reading a book. It couldn't have been comfortable, but the dog is happy as long as someone is touching her in any way.

How about you? BOTH on the spices (or herbs) AND on the animals?

gosh i think we are sisters faithmom ;) i'm on a basil kick too. goes along with the whole italian motif we were talking about. i also love chili powder. but probably have to say that tony chacheres is my FAVORITE (cajun) spice of all time-I put it on almost everything. Then I love dill and natures seasoning (a mix of things). Love cilantro and curry too!

As for animals . . . i love them. Especially dogs. If I had my way, I would be living in the country surrounded by animals on a ranch!
