Do you like to read?

Yes....too much, it can keep me from getting things done. And right now I am in the pickle that I have 3 books going at once, and 2 I want to get to.

TOOO MANY BOOKS! TOO LITTLE TIME!

What are you currently reading (and if it is more than one, that is obviously O.K.) ?

If your phone were to ring right now - who would you want to talk to?

When was the last time you laughed until it hurt? Why?

edie

Hi e!

My husband...haven't talked to him all day, and I love it when he calls for no reason. (Sorry, that is probably too mushy, but it's honest.)

Last time I laughed until it hurt? Last January, with a group of other couples who we work at the pre-marriage seminars with hubby and me. They are a riot, especially when we get out for pizza after the seminar....all pressure is off, and hilarious couple stories come out. Can't give you any details though, we were laughing about something that would probably only have a place in the "For marrieds only" part of the forum. (not for younger eyes if you get my drift;) )

Just about everything if I am in the right mindframe....that usually means slowing down long enough to realize that the story someone is telling is funny, that the whole mess of a situation before me has a unique irony to it, what the pun of the joke is...I used to read the comics everyday. Can't remember when I last did now that I think about it.

well what do you know . . . another commonality! i absolutely LOVE to read and am VERY much like you in that i could do it all day long. and not get another thing done!

I am a political junkie now-a-days and tend to read books related to that subject. Plus i LOVE Frances Mayes. Got hooked on her watching the movie, "Under The Tuscan Sun," so bought the book; and have read it a couple times. I just picked up her, "Bella Tuscany" on Saturday at the library. So . . . I have 2 books in the process of being read right now!

I think you will LOVE Frances Mayes. One of her passions (acquired after buying their villa in Tuscanny) is guess what? Gardening. I love the way she writes. It's almost like you can see yourself IN the story; IN her garden; you can picture the house just from the way she writes about it. In both book she even puts a chapter of recipes using the local ingredients. She not only makes you want to buy a villa in Tuscanny . . . but move their permanently!

What is YOUR favorite cuisine? Sorry if it was asked before.

Who would you like to be more like... your mother or your father?

Ummmm:scratch: ...well....ummmm... ......Golly John! That one is really really hard for me....ummm.....Can't I be a little of both? If you met them both, you would understand. In a pinch I would have to say my mom purely from the Christian faith standpoint, on that we have the most in common.

If you could go back to college or go for the first time what would you like to study?

Please don't cringe. A forensic artist. (you know, like reconstruct the face from the bones, draw pix of missing people or suspects, etc.)

Nope, not asked before, and it's hard to answer, I cook almost everything, and like almost everything. I'd probably have to say truly authentic fresh Mexican. But I am also nuts about Greek, Italian, French, and huge variety of Asian, German, etc....

I have the feeling you and I would make a great Sista Chick novel for visiting some Mediterranean areas and eating a lot!

Good to see everyone!

And I have a feeling you are right!!! Where should we start first? Ok . . . I think we already know the answer to that - Tuscany, right? So how about after that? Where would we head to taste some of the local Mediterranean cuisine?

Today it rained so hard, I pulled out umbrella's for our whole family. I could usually care less about getting a little wet, especially in the summer. BUT MAN it was like taking a serious shower out there! Came home (we had to go drop off a guest a the airport) and wouldn't you know.....there are flood warnings!

So, I guess that is what it takes for me to use an umbrella, now I just posted all of you to see if you use one too. Just a curiosity and a way to pass the time on a rainy..ahem...VERY RAINY morning.

Reasonable!

They need to make shoe umbrellas for women. LOL! The shoes I wore yesterday pretty much turned to mush and started to fall appart (they were cheap anyway). Those rubber galashes things my hubby has would never fit or stay on over my shoes. If this summer keeps going this way, I should get some rubber boots like my kids have! Maybe a big red raincoat, a yellow hat and a pokadot umbrella...maybe a rubby ducky to boot! I bet my oldest daughter wouldn't take me anywhere with her in public if I did that. Hehehe!

Have a great day!

OHHH I hate it when my shoes get ruined. I was so mad. It was storming horrible one day last summer and my shoes did feel like they were melting. GROOOSSSS

So what's your favorite thing to do during the summer?
