  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm currently wiggling through my 17th week and of course all the books say you should be starting to feel baby kicks by now. So far, I've felt a slight thump type sensation in my lower belly but it may just be bubbles?
About what week were you all when you first started feeling movement?

I'm at 16 weeks and I've felt the little flutters of my baby this week a great deal actually. I am pretty sure according to my ultra sound and the fact that I'm already feeling flutters I have a pretty active baby. Some people don't start feeling their baby until as late as 22 weeks or more so there really isn't anything to worry about if you don't feel it earlier.

Well today mom and I went to do girl stuff on our day off, I was able to describe the feeling to her and she said "Oh, Sarah! That's the baby!" And we both got all emotional ^_^ She told me it was difficult for her to tell when she was first pregnant whether or not I was moving. The first time she knew for sure was when laying in the bath tub, she put a soap dish on her tummy and it moved!

OOooh I wonder if that means Singin4Him's having a boy :)
O yeah? :) Well see in about 3-4 more weeks!!

Cute story: Last night the baby was seriously moving, it almost hurt. I laid down on the couch and put my fingers where I thought the baby was and I could feeling something sticking out a little bit. I told my hubby to put his hand there to make sure it wasn't just me and the little one moved across his hand and went back to hid. He was so excited! My husband has been so cute with this pregnancy, he's so excited.

I'm the same way hehehehe~ I have my first doctor's appointment on Friday (Bleh I waited too long to get a doctor oh well) and I'm hoping they'll do an ultrasound. I'll be well on my way to week 19 by then. Here's hoping!!
So far my tadpole has only given me little pokes here and there. No running in circles or doing backflips that I know of! Maaaybe a girl? *shifty eyes*

I'll be 28 weeks on Sunday and I still only feel thumps here and there, and I don't feel anything from the outside yet... so DH isn't getting kicked by Peter yet :(

Hopefully in the next couple weeks! I think that a month and 6 weeks ago I was feeling more than I have in the last 3 weeks.

I felt some movement around week 17, but more squirming than actual kicks. I only felt actual thumping kicks by around 22 weeks - she woke me up one night and I was like "what in the world was that??", it felt totally different than before and all of a sudden she was kicking me all over!

My husband felt her kicking for the first time last night, I'm sure he should have been able to feel her earlier (it's not like she's kicking more strongly now than a week ago) but every time I called him to come and feel she'd keep quiet. So it was really special last night when he felt her!
