Hello,

I am an author and I am researching the Catholic Church in England during the Dark Ages, 1100AD to 1200AD is roughly my time period. I have a simple question, but am having a heck of a time getting a answer to.

Question:

During the Dark Ages, how did people worship? Were there pews to sit in, or did they stand and kneel on a stone floor?

Pews weren't invented until just before the Reformation. So probably not; they'd have been standing.

I would suggest asking this in STR, since it has to do with our church as well
