  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Just curious... Was your son born at home?
I'm only wondering because I see you're from the US and I didn't think you could leave the hospital without having a name for the birth certificate. Some friends of mine just had a baby and were quick trying to decide on a name. because of that I think.
Personally, I think unless you have the name all picked out before hand or you see the kid and "know" (rare though I'm sure) it can be good to wait longer (like is traditional in India).
Anyway, just curious is all. Let us know when you decide (but no pressure!!!)
I had him in a hospital. They do let you go home without a name, you just have to pay a fee at the records dept then when you do decide on a name. If you name him in the hospital, there is no charge. At least that's how it is here.

Thanks for all your replies everyone!

What do you call your little one in the mean time? I've always wondered that. I know of a woman who didn't name her baby until 9 months after her birth!! (No, she wasn't from India either, LOL.)
Even though our daughter had a name at birth were rarely called her it after she was born. She was mostly refered to as "Pun'kin".

He mainly gets called "the baby" or "baby boy" when we're not trying out a name. :)
