  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi,
I have a BIG, 15 year old golden classic tabby, outside pet/barn cat. He caught a mouse this morning and ate it as usual but it didnt agree with him....he has a tummy ache....anything I can give the poor fella?? I know dogs can have Peptobismal but not a cat. Anything a cat could have to ease his tummy?
Thanks!

I'd watch him carefully, just in case the mouse had been poisoned. I dont know your area or the setup so I dont know if thats even an option, but something to think about anyway. Just check for signs - drooling, foaming or a lightness in his tongue or gums.

If he has difficulty breathing he may need to be checked to make sure a small bone didnt lodge where it shouldn't have.

Last of all, if you must, you could treat the little mouse as a hairball and add some cod liver oil to the cats next few feedings to help ease things out.

Good luck!
