help! Small Group

My husband and I will be taking part in a church small group over the next few months. We normally avoid this type of setting since we both get sweaty palms when it comes to talking in a small group. I can speak fine in front of a thousand people with a microphone, but knowing when and when not to talk and what to say in small group makes me anxious. My husband also has no peace since he does not feel confident talking about God.

Please pray for us that we will be comfortable contributing and have the continued desire to go. Many thanks.

Praying that you make a decision as far as what you should do. I don't see how not participating would be the unpardonable sin, if it causes you and your husband extreme discomfort. I guess I'm wondering what God might have you do instead. Blessings!

ThyLovingkindness, thanks for your prayer. That is a good point. I think the Lord has been calling me to participate in more intimate settings like this for awhile since I favor large churches. We want to participate in this one since we would be doing a favor for someone by providing transportation.

Yes, not every group works for everyone. I know sometimes I really hesitate in joining one in which I have not known people there for quite a long time likely because of unpleasant things which happened years ago; but I have even led several and most have been a good experience albeit always a challenge. Praying for God's guidance for you and your husband. Be blessed whatever you decide.
