Okay. Can I cry now?? What the H-E-L-L is going on here?? Are people stupid?? NO, they are not stupid. So what in the world is going on here....

Censorship is okay, as long as it is only Christians who are censored??

In my scripture reading for today, numerous verses were put together all with the same message. The truth is there for people with eyes to see and ears to hear. Simple as that. Pray for those whose eyes cannot discern truth and whose ears refuse to listen to truth!

I am seeing this so much within the last few months (and years) within society as a whole -- light being turned into dark, and dark into light...

I am always reminded of the verse in Isaiah when I see things that occur like this:

So, be strong and know that the Lord will right these injustices. That in the end we will be proven right, and justice will prevail. Do not despair when others torment you for speaking up for the Lord and His Word. For in the end it is they who will lose -- and lose more than the "fight" they begin today...

heh....well.......I feel very much betrayed by someone who I thought was a friend. So I am having to deal with that, on an emotional level, just knowing, this person was never my friend.

About the sig, I feel just as strongly as I ever did. I don't think it's right to diss ALL Christians. And the Ghandi quote clearly disses ALL Christians.

Not that I have anything against Ghandi, coz I don't. But to use his quote here, as a way of dissing all Christians, without regard to his real meaning, just leaves me cold.

I was thinking, though... even the people that have it in their signature, they're Christians. And they wouldn't flame themselves, so maybe they don't mean it as badly as it comes across. But it's not right that it upset you every time you see it. Have you tried speaking to the people by pm and telling them how you feel?

Well, the main thing I feel, is that Christians, all Christians, want to be like Christ. We all try every day to be like Christ. Don't we? Yes, we do.

So, to say that NO Christians are like Christ, isn't that a lie?

I think it is a lie, and not something Jesus died for. He died for us. For his flock. And to say that none of us are like Him? I think it insults my Savior.

I personally think the Ghandi quote is meant more as an exhortation to be more like Christ, as we all know there are those who profess to be Christians, but do NOT exhibit the Lord's teachings.

I too have noticed that it seems only those who describe themselves as Liberal use that quote. And, I do think it is meant in a derogatory manner...

But, I don't know the people personally so for me to assume they have malicious intent would be wrong for me to do, I think.

As for how you are feeling Auntie, please know that there are many other people who are here and ARE your friends. I have experienced what you are describing -- someone whom you thought was a true friend ends up betraying you. It can feel like you were stabbed through the heart... and the back as well! All I can say is that it's good that you know this person isn't your friend now. You will grieve the loss of this friendship, but it's always better to know now, rather than later.

I personally had a friend in high school that I thought was a very close friend. I found out YEARS later when we were talking about the "old days" that she had been lying to me about something very close to my heart (a crush I had on a boy). Even 15 years later when I no longer liked the boy... to find out my friend went behind my back and dated him without me knowing cut my heart!!! There were other issues that caused me to end out friendship, but after knowing her since the 1st grade it was VERY hard to deal with the loss.

I have other friends with whom I've had fallings out - over much more serious things, and it always hurts so badly. It's a real shame that people can't be more loving and caring and righteous. However, God WILL introduce us to friends who ARE that way -- even if they are far and few in-between.

I will pray that God comforts you, and takes away the feelings of hurt, disappointment, and anger that you are dealing with right now. I've been there and I know how bad it hurts when someone does things like this to you.

You know what I've noticed Synger... If one expresses anything close to the things in those quotes we are accused of "flaming". I have seen so many liberal people talk, and talk about being "tolerant", but they NEVER extend the same to people who express Conservative views.

What amazes me, is that people who consider themselves as Christians are doing these things (being hypocrites and such), and claiming that it is righteous. It's very frustrating and honestly I feel sorry for those people as they seem to be so gripped in anger, and fear that they can't see the forest for the trees!

I pray for them, as they are truly not understanding the message Christ has for us when it comes to loving our neighbors, and his warnings about pride... They spread so much hurting into the world, and claim they are trying to make things more "fair". It's so frustrating.

It is so horrid when friends hurt us! But you know, it really is often unintentional. Have you talked to this person? Cos they maybe feeling as bad about it as you are!
Praying for you, sister - God is still there, and He loves you an incredible amount!

Personally I don't have a problems with the Ghandi quote - cos it is true - none of us are like Jesus yet! But He is transforming us, changing us into His image -- and one day we will be like Him!!
So when I see that quote, I can just praise Him for what he is doing - and that He has promised we will be like Him!

Having said that - if it really upsets you, perhaps you could explain to the people concerned?
