• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I do not disagree that what he doing is wrong and should be stopped. From what I have read, he may have kissed her. That is all. Several people have insinuated what he is doing is illegal. This is false. So far, from what has been reported, he is not breaking the law. It could lead to that, but he certainly has done nothing illegal, at least from what has been posted. Perhaps some posters should be less condemning when they cannot be factual.

Other than your last sentence, I agree with you.

Just because he kissed her doesn't mean that he's not planning on doing anything illegal. I know from experiance that guys that old aren't inerested in being just friends with someone our age. There's always hidden motives, so if you care about your friend, I'd definately take action.

Ok I don't know where you live, but those ages are a huge gap. If they do anything else, it is illegal. Is she mature? Does she know what's happening? I do agree that if she felt she couldn't say no, this could lead to more serious things. She should always feel that she can say no, no matter who she is with or what they are doing.

You risk losing your friend if you say something, but if you don't she might get hurt. Talk to your friend about this. Tell her about the rules they are breaking, tell her about the age difference, tell her everything that is worrying you. If you are truly good friends, she will understand your concern and should appreciate that you are worried about her.

I think all you can do is be there for her. But if anything more happens between them, you should speak up. Go to Michael and tell him that he is doing the wrong thing here. Just be there for her, if they break up or if Michael gets bored and moves on. Also if anything more serious happens. You have to remain her friend.

Anything that is inappropriately done with the sole intention of fleshly satisfactional purpose is sin. This man has committed fornication because of the intent of his heart. He's already lusting after her with his flesh and eyes, and lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and pride of life are three things that God hates. The young man needs some serious prayer, the whole church need to know what is going on, and the young lady needs to learn how to stay away from men she can possibly be an attraction (note- distraction) to. We're talking more than fleshly desires here. Evil forces (Satan and his demons) are at work here to destroy the church. They both should wait until she is 18 to decide to pursue a relationship geared towards marriage. Other than that, they should leave each other alone.

You need to tell the Pastor so this guy can be removed as a youth leader. If the Pastor doesn't take action you need to tell the girl's parents. Yes she will be angry but she also may want it to stop but is afraid to tell anyone else. Give me the church number and I'll call the pastor myself!
