  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I use Ulead Gif Animator 5.
I find it to be one of the most user friendly programs out there.
Animations are built like AVI's one frame at a time and it comes with many special effects.
You can layer numerous "Objects" and manipulate them one frame at a time like the old "claymation" or "Stop Motion" animations.
It will also save the animations .gif format, or .jpg sequences from photoshop in .avi or .swf (Shockwave) format as well.
It's well worth the price.

With the Ulead Gif Animator, the Frame size and the "Canvas" size are two different settings. I just reset the canvas size for the entire animation, centered it, and saved it.
Changing the "Canvas" size automatically clips the entire sequence of frames.
I noticed that there would be minimal loss Clipping 15 pixels from either side due to the excess white background on either side of the animation.
The Canvas Size defaults to the largest frame in the sequence, and resetting the Canvas size makes all the frames a uniform size.

Can anyone resize an animation to fit the size requirements for an avatar?

I can do that for you. Whatever size you need. Just send the animation to my email. Here is my address: emailme@wolvesforchrist.com

(I will probably have to do it after Monday (Oct. 26th). I will be out of state for the next few days.)

<--In case anyone is wondering what program I use, I use Photoshop/ImageReady and Paint Shop Pro 8/Animation Shop. I also have Illustrato 10, but I don't use it that much. I usually use it mainly for just graphics, or for editing an animation frame.-->
