  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm so scared please help!!! Please

I called my friend and we were talking for a long time and everything was okay but then ....he started going on a rant about about himself....

And out of nowhere he snapped and started screaming...like he didn't even sound like himself it was so scary...

I can't do I can't be his fri3nd.

I rather be lonely than deal with that...

I'm having a panic attack. Ill never trust the internet for f4lends again. Please help please.

Far Side, you're okay. If you can, there's game called Flowy you can get it's an app that helps in panic attacks. I don't know what's going on with your friend but it's okay to stay safe.

Alright lets just try to breathe, and not think for like half a second now. Deep breathes come on. I'm sorry your friend is going through a hard time right now, and I am hoping he will send a text or something apologizing and that he is okay and everything is alright. Stress can make us act unlike our normal selves sometimes, that plus depression and yeah sometimes screams of rage happen. Try to relax though and trust in God, I hate it when people yell too, maybe because I'm wired a little sensitive, but please try to relax for your own sake and peace of mind.

It's okay to be freaked out by that. You don't have to let him call you again. Make sure he calms down before you listen to him.

It was so scary he sounded like a different person. Like I'm so scared i can't sleep. I can't function....I want to cry I'm so scared. That triggered me so bad that I'm about to throw up... I just want to die.

Try drinking some cold water too, like if you drink a whole glass, that will give you enough time to think through this better and the cold water will have a calming effect throughout your whole body. By the time you finish the water, you will have distracted yourself long enough to feel some relief. Trust me.
