by the way i am a christian but this question is from my non christian friend and i dont know how to answer this question... Help me plz!!!

You are being asked a philosophy question, however our logic can't define God's existance.

Can God create a rock too big for him to lift?

I've had friends ask me this too, it's kinda a hard one. You just have to understand that God's always been there, and He always will be. If someone created God, then who created them. . . . . it could go on forever. Someone/something has to have always been here, and that someone is God

That is pretty much what I told a little girl in our Wednesday night kids' mininstry when she asked me that question. My son asked it when he was younger also. My little mind just can't understand it, and that's ok.

The idea that someone or something existed "before" God implies that there was time before God created it.

Time, like matter and space, are merely a creation. There was no "before" God because there was no concept of time.

Assuming God exists, he would be outside of the need for a logical progression of time. Time is a part of our universe. Space and time are both aspects of the same thing. If God created the universe, then time probably does not exist for him, and the requirement for a beginning and end does not exist for him, as in temporal beings.

Basically, if God exists, he exists outside of time. With no time there is no need for a beginning or end.

Atheists love this trump card, but it doesn't work. Their motive is one of pride. They can't imagine an absolute Sovereign, so when they are confronted with One, they ask who the Sovereign's sovereign is. They say, "Well, since I'm accountable to Someone, who is He accountable to?" and, with that, they think that they have solved the problem of x == ? by denying that x ever existed. That's like asking for the beginning point of a line. A line by definition has no end or beginning, no matter how far you go. The atheist asks for the god of God; God is God and if you ask who God's god is, you don't have an open heart to the matter at hand. If anyone ever comes up with a point that you don't know how to address, baby, but you know the answer (just not how to say it), it is okay to say "I don't know." We live in a 3-space 1-time dimension. But God also created the 4-space 0-time dimension that exists in the event horizon of a black hole. Run that one through your brain. He created the fact that time slows down as you approach the speed of light.

Thinking about those things helps me to see that time is not universal but created and that God made it.

This is so true, but God is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Not knowing what God knows and time doesn't confine Him, but time He understands. He created all things, but is this the first time or the second time? We only know and understand what He reveals to us in His Word. We don't know the whole picture. God has such great love He wanted to create. He is and always will be even if this universe doesn't exist anymore, He will, if it is His will, He will probably create again. There is only one Supreme Being, and yes, all you need is, is to believe and have faith in Him and His Word.

He's eternal. He was here forever before and will be here forever after. That's impossible for the human mind to grasp.
