Brother is the search for your answer going? Remember that the Holy Spirit that lives in us will guide us. It is hard sometimes to tell if you are where God wants you to be, but if you have that peace that comes from the Spirit then you will know that you are where you are suppose to be. If what you read in the Bible "squares up" with what the pastor or other leadership is teaching you will know you are in the right place.

Jeffy,
the reason you are confused is because all the different denominations interpret the bible differently. Come over to the OBOB Catholic thread and we can help you! We believe the apostles interpretation of the bible is the correct interpretation and that God handed us a church and not just a bible. He never expected us to interpret it ourselves. As you can see there are thousands of denominations interpreting it differently. These denominations all started 1500 years or so after Christ came. Once they took the bible into their own hands and started interpreting it, it just got chaotic and there are only bound to be more disagreements and more interpretations. The Catholic church has a magisterium of bishops that have had hands laid on them going all the way back to the apostles. They interpret the bible and it makes it alot easier than trying to read it and come up with our own interpretation. Feel free to come to OBOB or to pm me if you want more info. God bless.

Look for something else. People claim to have found Jesus, when really it's just a sort of nirvana, a zen calm, a happiness. Just look for that. If Jesus is your happiness, then research all denominations of the Catholic religion.

I can give you some simple advise, The bible says that the ONLY way to heaven is thru Jesus Christ, Please note that as the only way.
