Well Hello there I just want to start out by saying I hope this is in the right place!!! and I do not belive in any sort of God, I do not mean I belive when death comes that we just die and thats it. I am lets say I am an open minded person :)

So I belive 100% in Evolution I belive that we evloved from organisums from the seas and on words I am guessing you know the story ;) We are desendants of apes and have gotten to a stage in Evoultion where we have stoped or prehaps, our Technolgy will change us?????? Machines doing most of the work? Cars doing our walking machines Building There is no final stage of Evoulution its all by Random all done to suite the Species enviroment, Well I better stop about that I could Talk all day about it!!! :holy:

So let me get onto the questions, BUT before I do I just want to tell you that I am NOT here to insult you or what you belive in.

So here they are,
Do you belive as Religous people when I die I will go to Hell? (please remember that I do not belive in any Religions god so please say what you think I want get scared hehehe)

Do you dissprove of Evolution and if so, why? and how do you disprove what to me has been proven

Relating to me first question, I have done things that acording to the lets say 'laws' of Relgion I am condemed to Hell, such as Sex before marage Gambling, saying that God is not real would you say these acts condem me and almst all the people I know to Oblivion?

I have many more quesiton and I am sure you answering these questions will give me more! ;)

Also I have looking for ways to asked these questions before and have found none, so I do hope that we can get into a conversation! I have also got Dyslexica I thank your god for that hahaha ^_^ But eh it dose hinder me at times but I am the one going to med school next year so life is good! Working on my Masters Degree in the mean time! so i am doing well hehehehe!

Another atheist with time on their hands to dream up questions the answers to which are readily available but can't resist baiting Christians.

Boredom must be a result of being an atheist.

It is also interesting than many of then can't read either.

Hi Curiousguy

I would say that at your state right now, you would be sent to Hell if you were to die
I believe Evolution to be true

I am glad you are asking questions and seeking answers, though I think this might be the wrong place? Nonetheless I have answered your 2 questions and yup

I have Dyslexia pretty bad also, but have two Masters Degrees. There is a book out about all the discoveries that have been made partly due to people being Dyslexic.

Hell is a not talked about much in scripture and the word translated “everlasting or eternal can have different meanings. Eternal life is a gift God gives with the gift of Love/mercy/grace/charity/forgiveness to those that really “want it”. Since heaven is a huge “Love Feast” where Godly type Love surrounds everyone, if a person has repeatedly refused God’s Love in the form of forgiveness given as charity and wants a selfish type of love that is not in heaven, there is no place for him. Hell is where things are burned up, but some may burn longer due to their sins on earth, while others are immediately consumed.

As far as “evolution” there is natural selection and mutations so living things do evolve. The problem comes from the huge changes that evolution cannot explain. One of the biggest changes is going from pure chemical reactions to life. Chemicals do not follow the laws of “natural selection” and do not “evolve” (one of my Master’s Degrees is in Chemistry so I like to study this issue). No Scientist wants to but his “theory” on how this could happen up to peer review. It also appears as soon as liquid water remained liquid on earth life followed quickly behind (we do not have Billons of years).

Greeting, Curiousguy! I'm glad you're here and that you're willing to engage in polite conversation and open-minded seeking. Try not to be put off by the less welcoming responses. Sometimes people dash off a hasty response that they don't really mean.

In response to your first question, it's important to first know what Hell is. According to Pope John Paul II, it is "not a physical place, but the state endured by those who have chosen to separate themselves from God." This response was not of his invention, but a continuation of a tradition in Christian thought going back to the early Church. So Jesus Christ does not send people to Hell. People who choose to reject the message of Christ end up in Hell by their own choice, by definition. Or, in other words, every thinking person makes a choice and then the consequences follow from that choice.

The other thing to remember is to avoid the mistake of thinking of life like a game where you get points for good words and deeds and lose points for bad words and deeds, and then after death you're rewarded based on how many points you have. Scripture makes clear that because all humans are sinners due to falling short of God's perfect standards, nobody could achieve salvation by their own efforts. However, Jesus Christ has agreed to intercede on our behalf in order to accomplish what we could not accomplish ourselves. So the question is not whether God will send you to Hell, but rather whether you will accept a gift of salvation that is offered freely.

On the question of evolution, I believe in every event that scientists have confirmed to have happened, by which life changed from the simplest life forms to more complex ones and eventually the human race, and I find no contradiction between this and traditional Christian teaching. What I don't agree with is some who insist that evolution proves human life to be a meaningless product of random chance. Evolution may have proceeded according to certain scientific laws which appear random to the untrained eye, but if God was the one who created those laws and made everything from the start, then it was neither truly random nor meaningless.

Hi there Mr Curious, and welcome to CF!

Since nobody has mentioned it, I will point out you asked about 2 specific sins; pre-marital sex and gambling. If you want to feel guilty about gambling, you need to go to Islamworld.com (LOL) I doubt Jesus really leads us into gambling, but we have no Scriptural prohibition of it either. the other things you mentioned? Well yeah, especially in the States our culture very much turns our head at that one, going off our own way. And the blessings we enjoyed as a Nation are quickly going downhill, so I'll let you put 2 and 2 together there and see what you come up with.

Sin doesn't send us to hell, since lack of sin doesn't "get anybody to heaven;" but others have covered that part of it pretty well for a first go-round. I'll just point out the Bible doesn't really tell us we go to heaven when we die, either. Lots of man made phony baloney to sift through, on your way to the Truth.

Happy trails!

Hi, Curiousguy, on the off-chance that you will be back to read answers and respond.....

If the above post is truthful, then at the time you wrote it, had you suddenly died, you would have faced eternity apart from God. Hell is a term people use for that, though some study of the Bible will show that outer darkness, Hell, and the lake of fire are not words for the same thing.... but that's another story.

I don't really care what nonChristians think concerning the origins of the human race, though I do find the idea of our evolving from primate animals to be, hmm, kind of repugnant. I disapprove of evolution's being taught to school children as though it were fact, when in fact it is a theory, and a spiritually uninformed one at that. Changing peoples' opinions and hearts is the work of the Holy Spirit, not my work.....

I agree with razedontherock when he says that "Sin doesn't send us to hell, since lack of sin doesn't "get anybody to heaven;"" you have to realize that this is what the enemy wants us to think - the issue is not sin but broken relationship with God. Sin is a byproduct of that broken relationship.

Wow guys thanks so much, I am at Uni now so going to raed the rest of these when I get the chance! I got another question here to add the those I have.

So I earning my PhD in Astromany here (YaY!) and I have been wondering I have been working and studying Space Flight, the Stars, well all aspects of outer space, And you can ask any Astromaner we WILL be able to travle long distance in space very soon, I have been working on along with many others on the new engines (Wish I could say more but I can't hehe) and it WILL get us to far off places never thought possible and we WILL find alien life.

So how would this fit with a Modren day Christian?

Thank you and I will read all the repies as soon as I get a chance and I will give you my thoughts on them, I just want to remind you that I am not just another Athiest who is here to attack and insult you, I am here for discusstion!!! I do love to learn and discus! ^_^

we WILL find alien life.
If you believe that life is random, then life as we know it is based on the size of our planet, the distance from the sun, Earth's atmosphere and so on. It would be just about impossible for all the random events that we find here to duplicate itself on another star somewhere in the universe. Esp now that we know just how fine tuned it all is.

Food for thought:

"Most mistakenly we often seem to think that God put Adam there to test him, to see whether he would obey or not. Not so. It was because by no other means could he discover his own innate helplessness. It was not as we often erroneously think, that Adam could have done the good deed of rejecting the advances of Satan. If that were so, man could be good by his own unaided effort. But he was placed between those two trees to learn that of himself he can do nothing good, and is not expected to! It was to teach him the basic fact of his creation, that his own human spirit is an empty, helpless vessel so far as living the good life is concerned: "in me, that is in my flesh (my humanity) dwelleth no good thing." He was not created to be good. He was created to be indwelt by the Good One, and the negative command not to eat of the tree, followed by the direct temptation to do so, was not to stir into action some potential capacity in Adam for obedience and goodness nor to demonstrate that he could be good if he would, but to reveal to him the one essential point he had to learn about himself - that he was created helpless so far as being and doing good is concerned -and then that his little human spirit had one marvelous potentiality: it could be the container of the Divine Spirit via the tree of life, and yet not lose its own individuality in being so; but (the fact is) that the two can dwell together, each in the other, in an eternal fruitful bond of union. The Liberating Secret

Hey have you seen that South Park episode on atheism? They end up being religions who can't agree on the official title of their club haha, reminds me of denominational churches!

Mate, you sound happy enough, I don't know why you're coming round here looking for fights (it doesn't even sound like you are but it just appears that way). I think if you want to go to Hell you just have to get anti-christian, but that's not what you're doing. Jesus was an honest good man who got killed because some church didn't like what he was saying - and you would agree with all his teachings so you're Christian believe it or not brother! Peace out there, keep shining the light and I hope you get called to know Jesus in your lifetime!

Oh, about your questions:
Do you belive as Religous people when I die I will go to Hell? (please remember that I do not belive in any Religions god so please say what you think I want get scared hehehe)
It is for God to judge those destined for the bottomless pit. If you are a really nasty person then it's hard to change but even then, Jesus will save you.
Do you dissprove of Evolution and if so, why? and how do you disprove what to me has been proven
Well evolution is necessary information to found biological science, so even when God created the universe 6,000 years ago He already knew all about evolution and what role it had in earth's evolution long before modern science was established. So, "yes evolution is proven reliable for science", "yes, creationism is proven reliable for salvation".
Relating to me first question, I have done things that acording to the lets say 'laws' of Relgion I am condemed to Hell, such as Sex before marage Gambling, saying that God is not real would you say these acts condem me and almst all the people I know to Oblivion?
You have to be ready to accept forgiveness before you can receive it. And when you begin a life of repentance, "the fruits of righteousness" will be evident in your actions.
I have many more quesiton and I am sure you answering these questions will give me more!
Please fire away, I'm so interested to discuss more about God!!

Jesus died for everyone but the person must choose:
John 3:16 says,
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:36 says,
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
The only "in any religions god" that rose from dead was Jesus.

Do you dissprove of Evolution and if so, why? and how do you disprove what to me has been proven.

Yes, I disapprove of evolution because something cannot come from nothing. There aren't transitional fossils to be found. Then you have to look at the bacterium flagellum. The whole thing had to have been created at once because it would have never survived.

Relating to me first question, I have done things that acording to the lets say 'laws' of Relgion I am condemed to Hell, such as Sex before marage Gambling, saying that God is not real would you say these acts condem me and almst all the people I know to Oblivion?

I have also got Dyslexica I thank your god for that

God didn't give you dyslexica, it could be from many other things. Don't forget, we live in a sinful world.

That's a good point actually, there's a speck of belief in you, curious guy! It's to be expected too, that while you are an unbeliever, there's a speck of belief just as when you're a believer there's a speck of doubt. I think that is the reason for Ying-Yang theory.

The key to having stable faith is to exercise your belief in God rather than your belief against God, and as you place more and more trust on God He will reveal Himself more and more to you until you end up being a strong believer. This doesn't mean that you must disbelieve any secular teachings, it only means you begin to see them in context of a bigger picture.

I would be really interested to learn about alien life forms, especially to see whether God has given them a form of The Bible too, as I understand anything living in our current existence is contaminated with sin, aliens too would be susceptible to sin and would require deliverance from their dark inner shadow or the evil spirits who lurk in our midst.

I have a question for you curious guy: have you ever read Jesus' words in The Bible, they are sometimes printed red so they are easier to identify. If you read His words then you may be able to see why Christians adore Him and I think you will find many of His teachings will resonate with your sense of goodwill.

I think the hatred people build up is due to extra garbage which is tacked onto Christianity by people who think they have something important to say. Once that is believed to be true by a number of people then you have a myth originating from the distortion of truth. This is why I always recommend people read The Bible and listen to what their heart says, this is much more important than listening what another person thinks because they simply aren't God and should not be revered as such.

Why don't you give it a go and tell us if you disagree with anything Jesus says..

Hi Curiousguy, welcome! o/

Do you belive as Religous people when I die I will go to Hell?
That's kind of asking us to speculate and also to judge - who am I to say how you have lived and what your relationship is like with God or more importantly, will be like when you die. It seems likely you would be condemned to death - ie Hell. I should point out that I do not believe in eternal fiery suffering forever and ever. I believe more in eternal destruction - ie permanent death, forever and ever.

Do you dissprove of Evolution and if so, why? and how do you disprove what to me has been proven
I don't think evolution is important in the religious discussion whatsoever. Whether we were formed as is, or evolved from simpler organisms, has nothing to say on God's part in it at all.

Relating to me first question, I have done things that acording to the lets say 'laws' of Relgion I am condemed to Hell, such as Sex before marage Gambling, saying that God is not real would you say these acts condem me and almst all the people I know to Oblivion?
Again it's speculative to say, I mean really this is the same question as the first, just with more detail. I don't wish to say yes or no with any authority, I leave that up to God.

Also I have looking for ways to asked these questions before and have found none, so I do hope that we can get into a conversation! I have also got Dyslexica I thank your god for that hahaha ^_^
No one is perfect. ;)

But eh it dose hinder me at times but I am the one going to med school next year so life is good! Working on my Masters Degree in the mean time! so i am doing well hehehehe!
Congratulations on what sounds like a very promising career and good luck with your studies. :>
