Help finding a song.

You see I have written and will be directing a play called "The Prince and the Beggar Maid." It's an allegorical work based on a Prince who represents Christ. He gives up all his pocessions to win the heart of a poor maiden.

It is medieval in flavor.

I have a lot of the music but I'm having a problem coming up with a song the girl could sing about the Prince. Keep in mind the flavor of the play, sort of like Romeo and Juliet. Something like Byan Adams song, 'Everything I do I do it for you." But a woman in the lead and the lyrics have to apply to Jesus.

If you come up with a song could you provide the link if possible? Gee. I would give ya a prize but I'm a poor, struggling artist. Sorry!

These song are all so beautiful but they don't feet the moment in the play. I should have been more clear. At this point in the play she still hasn't come to the Prince. She loves him from afar because she is but a poor beggar maid and he is royality. So it has to be a song of longing. The law of the land states that never the two shall be together because she is not a princess.

Now THAT'S just about perfect CR! I would change one lyric. "Only a King would do anything to win His lady." Something like that.

Is the tempo fast or slow? What type of music? I have to listen to this.

Well, let's see, its upbeat, pop/countryish. But it still captures the longing with the way she sings it. Because, its sung like this prince who has swept her off her feet, and she just feels like she has to dream and sing. So, its not sung with a heartaching longing of saddness because shes a peasant or something, but more of a "Ohhhhhhh, sigh, how I wish...." kinda thing. It captures the way she dreams of her king. Hope that makes sense lol.

Yeah, that one line bugged me too, but I didn't write the song unfortunately, hehe.
