  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

:help: I've been looking and I can't seem to find it. I don't have a concordance, either. I need help real quick before I leave for the day and go on vacation.

Somewhere, there is a passage that says something like this: Do not treat unbelievers as believers. What do you expect? They don't know any better that to be worldly.

Anybody know??

1 Corinthians 3:1-3 And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?

The OP was asking for passages which talked about not treating unbelievers like believers. Paul's injunction in 1 Corinthians 3:1-3 is directed to immature believers who were still acting like babies in Christ. They weren't yet ready for the more indepth teaching that they needed, because they were content to remain babes in Christ.

The Bible does not make this excuse for unbelief actually.

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
