  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I had my stroke in early 2019, it was caused by a blood clot in the left hand side of my brain and really messed up the right hand side of my body. I have been a committed and bible believing Christian for quite some time, before this happened. I believe that God tells us in his word that he intends us to be overcomers and that as a consequence, that I must not ever give up in such situations. God always has a purpose and a plan for our lives and He tells us to trust in him and not to lean on our own understanding.

Now in 2021, my wife has also had a stroke. She is currently recieving hospital care and physiotherapy and will be allowed to come home when they say that she is ready, which hopefully won't be too long now. After my stroke I had my driving license revoked, but I have had lessons to learn to drive a disabled adapted vehicle and after passing my driving assessment I now have been issued with a new driving license, permitting me to drive a vehicle with specified adaptions. I am currently not driving, because my vehicle has not so far been adapted.

I am looking forward to being a member of this forum.

Mark.

There is plenty of biblical teaching on the subject of brokeness, whch has quite a lot to say to you, when things like this happen to you. I find this very relevent in my situation and being totally dependant up on God has become all that matters from now on. These things are in God's hand and are not a sign of His displeasure, but our faith will be tested to see if it is genuine, or not.

Will we cling to him in our difficulties and trust in him. The bible says that in all things, we should give thanks for this is the will of God concerning you! Over the last twenty years, I have had one heart attack and two strokes, but God has preserved my life, He obviously has not finished with me yet. I am currently waiting to see what He has got planned for me in the future!
