Hello to everyone here. To say a little about myself, I've known Christ as my savior and have been following Him now for many years. He has brought me from an immature faith in my childhood to a life of growing in grace and understanding more and more as the years go by.
I came from a Lutheran family that was more culturally Christian than anything else, but I'm very thankful for that beginning nevertheless. By the grace of God, it has survived many temptations in the wilderness of the world. It could well have ended with me believing that the Christian faith was a "superstition" that I should "mature" out of as I graduated from what the world considers is a very good public university and my professors had that view of Christianity. I also for a time lived a very worldly, ungodly life despite being a believer. I didn't know much about being a Christian as an adult as I was a native of an area of the country that had been mostly Catholic but was rapidly turning very secular.
One day I suddenly realized that I was missing out on all the treasures that were likely to be in God's Word as I hadn't yet read the whole Bible. I'd mostly just read the Gospels. After finally finishing the whole Bible several months later, I was ecstatic as I understood everything in a whole new way. Up to that point, I'd still been looking to the world for all sorts of answers, and wondering if there really were any, while not realizing that they were in Christ all along!
It's been many years now since I really came to know the Lord through His Word, and through many trials and victories through Him, He has continued to build my faith and draw me closer to Him! Praise the Lord!
