I belong to a tiny, mostly urban and rather obscure Indian ethnic group with our own traditional religion. It doesn't say much about God or gods. It's essentially about doing good, avoiding evil and perfecting our conduct. People who have mastered reason, overpowering compulsiveness and evil intentions are said to have attained "enlightenment". I have never met such a person, but then again, I've never met any gods either. Perhaps both are meant to be ideals we aspire to, I don't know.
Anyway, my question is this: Is there any good reason I'd want to convert to Christianity? My parents tell me there has never been apostasy in our religion. (we call it "irona"; I have no idea what others call it)
